Comets are made of frozen water. Do you disagree with this statement? If you agree that said statement is valid, then you have no reason to claim that the water on Earth coming from a comet is impossible.

A comet is composed of dust, ammonia, ice, carbon dioxide and methane in addition to other substances. Ice and dust covered with an organic substance largely make up the nucleus of a comet. The tail of a comet consists of dust and gas.

All comet observations have shown silicates since we first started looking and taking measurements.
Actual comet samples have falsified that theory of comets being ices long ago,

The old theories died out long ago and have been contradicted by all observations. You are simply refusing to accept the science and the observations to hold onto Fairie Dust - just as mainstream is - because they have no viable theories to replace the old ones. So that ice has become conveniently "hidden", just as 96% of modern cosmology is "hidden".

I think AV1611 that your situation with the scientists also applies to religious authority. I think those who deny evolution look as silly as those fine Christians who condemned Galileo as a heretic. The history of the matter is that whenever the church has gotten into a battle with science, science wins and the church gets egg all over its face.

Not a single vent has ever been discovered, despite having a probe on the surface of one and one in orbit.
All jets have been observed to come from scarps or cliff faces.
In all comets that have disintegrated - in not one has any water been discovered in their remains - falsifying the "hidden" ices belief. Not a single extra drop of it. Flat out impossible if the core/nucleus is indeed composed of that "hidden" water ice.
