Comets are made of frozen water. Do you disagree with this statement? If you agree that said statement is valid, then you have no reason to claim that the water on Earth coming from a comet is impossible.

Yes I do disagree as this statements claims.....

A comet is composed of dust, ammonia, ice, carbon dioxide and methane in addition to other substances. Ice and dust covered with an organic substance largely make up the nucleus of a comet. The tail of a comet consists of dust and gas.

-_- ice is frozen water. Sorry I didn't list out every single substance that comets are made out of. However, the water was the important component to acknowledge, and since water in the form of ice is a component of comets, my statement still stands.

All comet surfaces have been "hot and dry"

All comet observations have shown silicates since we first started looking and taking measurements.

Actual comet samples have falsified that theory of comets being ices long ago,

The old theories died out long ago and have been contradicted by all observations. You are simply refusing to accept the science and the observations to hold onto Fairie Dust - just as mainstream is - because they have no viable theories to replace the old ones. So that ice has become conveniently "hidden", just as 96% of modern cosmology is "hidden".

Not a single vent has ever been discovered, despite having a probe on the surface of one and one in orbit.

All jets have been observed to come from scarps or cliff faces.

In all comets that have disintegrated - in not one has any water been discovered in their remains - falsifying the "hidden" ices belief. Not a single extra drop of it. Flat out impossible if the core/nucleus is indeed composed of that "hidden" water ice.

If the church contends with science, and its the science that God created, the church needs to get "egg on its face."

Most sources I find still say that comets have H2O in them. Not my area of expertise though, so I am just going to leave this to people that know more about space related items.

You do have a point, ASV1611. The universe is not going to go on for ever. Most scientists feel it will come to an end, though certainly not any way soon. The reason why the universe is finite, subject to eventual termination, is that God is continually creative and then may eventually get tired of a particular universe and move on to another. I think the universe is co-eternal with God. I do not mean this particular universe, just the fact there is some sort of creation. Before this universe, that was a different one. God never rests and is eternally creative.
