Gerry, if you believe in anything, who have people attack your beliefs. This is true for just about everything. I've also noticed that people are becoming less friendly. Oh well, truth is truth, and there's more to support the truth of theistic evolution than anything else. And does it matter how we got here? Take care of today, and don't worry about what happened thousands of years ago.

I agree except for on thing. i believe it is VITALLY important how you approach the written Word of God. I do not believe we are in a position to pick and choose what parts are true and which parts are not; what is literal and what is figurative.

Sure much is written in figurative language but with a literal application.

God's written Word CLEARLY said God created. It does not say He created slime and it evolved into man and trees and all other living things.

Theisitic evolution is contradictory to God's Word no matter which parts you throw out or discount.

I'll jump right in here and introduce myself. I'm a very passionate follower of Jesus' teachings, and I am currently a graduate student trying to become a bonafied molecular/cellular biologist. And, yes I think evolution is a rational and probable explanation for the diversity of life. I love a good debate and I really like being proven wrong.

Good to see other people of faith promoting critical thinking skills and challenging traditional theology/dogma.

I agree. Genesis 1-3 are written in figurative language with a literal application too. The purpose is to explain the relationship between God, humans and the rest of the world. Why is that so threatening?

A evoltuionist filed together a human skull and a human jawbone and made smooth castings of it,this was in text books for some 40 years

Nebraska Man

All they found was a single tooth and they thought WOW this is1/2 man/monkey off that illustrated a complete male homonid with a wife and children.

It turned out to be a pigs tooth!

The Missing Link "Lucy"

A strange incomplete monkey skeleton was found,this was probably a mutation and there is not enough evidence to prove that it was becoming human.
However as ussal they illustrated a picture of a complete model when no hands and/or feet were found!

For many of the pictures there are illustrations of what evolutuinists call "homonids" but little to nothing is even found.

I could keep on going deeper and deeper into it,but I think this is enough.

Yes holes, Everything has holes even the bible. And the holes for evolution are old. And can be explained.

They are indeed scientific they are based of observed rescearch to support the Bible.

None of evolution is observed,except micro which is just variation and they use that to make macro and all the rest to look true.

Did you even know about all the types of evolution that refere to the age of the earth and the origins of life?

This is evolutuion:

The word "evolution" has many meanings only one of which is scientific.
In schools they are all taught to be the same but they are not near the same.
The last two are the most commonly known.

1)Cosmic evolution:The origin of time,space and matter,Big Bang
There is NO evidence whatsoever that this could happen,how can nothing become something?

2)Chemical evolution:The origin of higher elements from hydrogen,according to the Big Bang theory if there was a big bang it would have produced hydrogen and possibly helium for it to get the other elements.
Theres 92 elements plus the synthetic ones.

3)Stellar and Planetary evolution:The origin of stars and planets.Nobody has EVER seen a star or planet form,we've seen a bunch of stars blow-up -novas and supernovas,nobodys ever seen one form.This is something they believe they have NO evidence for at all!

4)Organic evolution:The origin of life.How did life get started from non-living matieral?The evolutionist ultimatly has to believe in spontaneous generation which was proven WRONG over 100 years ago,its ridiculous!But they don't have another option -they have to believe something 150 years ago,but sorry it didnt hapen.

5)Macro-evolution:The origin of major kinds.Changes between kinds of animals,nobodys ever seen that happen!There IS 0 evidence that a(for example)a dog can produce a non-dog or that a dog ceom from a non-dog,but the evolutionist HAS to believe that the dog came from a rock -4.6 billion years ago!

These five are RELIGIOUS

6)Micro-evolution:Varation within kinds. -Only this one has been observed.
This IS scientific we do see lots of variations and adaptation to the enviroment.

It really is variation:

Diffrents Breeds of cats and ones with six toes instead of five all had a common ancestor a CAT!

Diffrent breeds of dogs all originated of off one common ancestor a DOG!


Teachers/professors will use thousands of examples of Micro-evoluiton to make Macro-evolution as well as all the others look scientific.

This WILL get lot and lots and lots and lots and lots........of contradiction as there ARE much more evolutionsts then creationists on here
But don't listen to them they will use stupid reasons and ridiculous theorys as thats all they have to shoot at us.

Right creation is a theory as well.
But our theorys have evidence to back them up.

The Ark is on the mountains of Ararat.
Their are fault lines,erosion,mixed lumps of fossils,etc.......
Their are tons of flood legends in various cultures.

HAHAH there is no evidence of a Ark on Mt. Ararat. No evidence only people thinking its there. And no evidence to back up the theory of creation if there was it would be accepted by the science community.

Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible called names Dragons,Behemoth and Leviathan(they say these refer to elepahnts and hippos but they don't)

The word Dinosaur was invented in 1841 A.D.

When we rediscovered them he decided to trick us into thinking that they are millions and millions of years old to destroy our faith in the bible.
AND BOY IT HAS WORKED GOOD!

Then after that we satrted thinking we came from apes a comsic burp 18 bilion yrs ago,etc.....*
