The World of Enkar

Would anyone be interested in a writing-based rpg in Enkar? This is a distant world where the unicorn (mentioned 8 times in the Old Testament- KJV of the Bible) fled to after the Great Flood? If you would, please let me know. This world is from my novel, "The Bondmates Chronicles".

I would love to keep reading about it, and I may actually read the series they are apparently based on, but it would be very nice to view a few more of the sections... Good, that means it did work! Yes, those are the only two I had time to get edited and up. I will get more.

After I get the next few pages up, I'll let you know via PM. Also, be thinking about your character. What group they will belong to, what will the personality be like, etc. (Try to give your character flaws and quirks, they are a lot more fun to write with!) Ex. I know someone that had a character that could tumble but was so bad at it, he was constantly hurting himself! He also was very fond of wearing a different feather in his hat every day!!! Those sort of quirks and personality traits give your character more depth and they are so much fun to write!!!
I would like to see a basic character outline after I get all the pages working. Know of anymore who might like to write with us send them on!

Okay, got most of the pages working now, at least enough to give you a much better idea of the world of Enkar. Any more questions, PM me or leave a post here. I will be happy to get some character ideas coming at me....*hint, hint* Be thinking about those and writing on them. I'm going to see about where to put a running post thread for Enkar.

Also, any ideas you have to add to animals, plants, towns, etc. let me know!!! Get creative! (I will have some special pages soon with bios of some of the 'youngsters' being sent out by the Herd Stallion.)

You are welcome! Yes, that painting on top is one of mine called, "The Playful Stallions" A lady in Germany bought that one, it's a rather large watercolor, about 30" x 40". I thought it fit the world of Enkar so well!!!

The outline Blessed One has up on the Character page might help you. I'm not sure where they will want me to run this since it's not the same world they are all rping in. I have sent a message to Blessed One to see what is recommended, so when I find out I will get back with you. Be blessed by our Wonderful Lord Jesus!

character development

Hello I thought perhaps it might be helpful to share my guidelines for creating characters. Have fun!

Character Name-

Description of physical appearance:
Race-
Male or female-
Age-
Hair color-
Eye color-
Build-
Height-

Overall health- (robust, average, sickly, etc.)
Physical strength- ( exceptional strength, above average, etc.)
Intelligence- ( High, above average, average, below average, dull-witted)

Any distinguishing characteristics? (such as a limp, mole, etc.) Please use as much detail as you can to flesh out your character.

*****Fleshing Out Your Character******

A) Personality -What is your character like..... (Use as many adjectives as you can that will give a good perspective on your character: depressed, curious, creative, funny, outgoing, quiet, insecure....)

B) Short History - Where does he or she hail from in Enkar? What important things have happened to them to shape the people they are today?

C) Talents -Everyone has giftings and talents! Be sure to give your character some to work with! What things in life really give them a bad time? (ie., Resura was able to train anything that moved on four legs but cleaning up after herself in the barracks was still completely beyond her!) What 'hidden talents' might you want them to have but not discovered and/or developed yet?

Introductory post is up on Movies and Books forum under the RPG tab. As soon as you get your character done and up in the Character Forum, start writing on the introduction for your character. You may bring your character directly into the storyline or let Talendra run into your character on the road. Perhaps your character has another stone? herd

Hello everyone!
I'm working on getting the herd available for bonding up online to view. When this is done look them over and see which ones you would be interested in. These unicorns usually 'bond' with humans however, this will be changing because of what is happening in Enkar's present.... So all characters can possibly bond with a unicorn. Once the bonding occurs, you the writer, will be writing for BOTH the unicorn and the bonded character, you will need to take different personalities into consideration. (Sometimes this is a lot of fun, writing the interaction between the two characters AND their reactions to the situation!)
If you have any inspired ideas about unicorn personalities, please let me know! I look around at people I know and give them some of those characteristics. Just send me the ideas via PM. If you wish to submit drawings, please feel free to contact me I would enjoy additional submissions.
Check here for information on when the herd page is finished. I have put up the new characters on the web also so we can put up a drawing or sketch for your character if you are interested, until you get the post count to allow a pic on CF. It has been updated now with those who have posted a character on the Character forum. Good start, let's keep rolling!

Several things...

Hello again!
Okay we are on the road now!! Scotti will join the troup later since God's child has been very busy recently. I understand that!!!
Only one picture is up for the herd now but others will be forth coming. If you are interested in letting your character bond in the future, you must let me know and give me two selections and reasons why you would like this herd member, it would be helpful if you wrote a short interplay between the two to see how the two would flow together in your writing. IF you have a suggestion for another personality of a unicorn by ALL means contact me via PM and let's talk!!!
Keep in mind unicorns in Enkar are creatures lower than the angels but like them in many ways. They are created servants of the Father who failed Him out of negligence but never rebelled against Him, so they are being given a second chance to prove themselves. (They were to watch over man but failed to notice Satan in the garden. They also withdrew rather than help man after the fall.) They have unique personalities but are always, ALWAYS good and pure of heart.

They form a telepathic 'mind link'. They are still 'separate beings' but they can communicate by thought. It's like two characters that are suddenly brought into a deep understanding of one another. A deep friendship if you will, that is filled with immediate understanding of the faults each possess and yet they accept one another as is and realize God had a purpose in bringing them together, usually to compliment each other and make them better at being 'themselves!' Think of it as discovering your very best friend in life and one that you can suddenly share your thoughts with non-verbally!

Hmm... Alright, so... The unicorn in question would be able to hear whatever thoughts I pass him/her, and he/she would be able to hear what ever thoughts I pass to it? That'd be neat, but It'd mean an awful lot of writing in each post... Hm... I suppose I shall think about it. Thank you much for telling me!

***OOC IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***

Due to circumstances beyond my control I will not be online from Oct.11-17th Will not be near a computer. I will get the group on the road by then and you can rp campfire conversations until I'm able to plug back in!!
Please go ahead an RP personal interaction for your characters at this time, if you like but you may want to check and make sure the character you are talking with will be able to write with you. This would be a good time to let characters interact one on one or in a small group, finding out small details about one another before we reach the next big obstacle!!!
