Revelation 13 is a great chapter to show how the word ALL is used differently in scripture, and how the "experts" have misinterpreted it.....
A pre-trib rapture.
A global dictator.
A one world religion.
A one world government.
A Roman or Europedemonic duo.
The demonic duo would emerge from WITHIN the church.
A temple needs rebuilding.
The 200 million in Rev. 9 come from China or India.
The harlot Christianity or the Roman empire or Catholicism.
The mark of the beast is worldwide with computer chip implant technology etc.
The Church is involved in the 'falling away."
NONE OF THE ABOVE IS TRUE!...
It only makes sense for the book of Revelation and Mathew 24 to be chronological. Over lapping and duplicating the prophecies in the Revelation is illogical and only confounds our understanding of them. It implies that God, for some reason, found it necessary to repeat them. I can understand why God would repeat the same prophetic message by different prophets, but not by the same prophet in the same book or epistle.
The chronology of events in Revelation and Mathew 24 PROVES the power of Gods foreknowledge and His involvement in the affairs of men. So many Christians have come up with that really amount to nothing. God gave us the timeline of opening events in Revelation 6 in the seals. They were written for believers, unbelievers, and skeptics alike because we will be able to follow the prophecies as they pass. That's one purpose of a seal anyway.
John is viewing this vision in heaven. The beast he described seems to be composed of the ones mentioned in Daniel 7. (Lion, Bear, Leopard).
Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea,...
The word sand is often used to designate an innumerable multitude. The sea is often used of the sea in general but more specifically used of the Mediterranean Sea or the Red Sea.
It's very likely that this beast or 'empire' of "seven kings and ten nations," would come from the surrounding area of the Mediterranean. And the seven heads (kings) and ten horns (nations) are an Islamic alliance of nations under Satan's power because it's the dragon giving it its power....
So one would think that verse 16 reinforces the idea of a global imposition of the mark. HOWEVER! The KJV made a mistake. If you look at this in the Greek interlinear the ARTICLE IS USED 6 TIMES IN VERSE 16! The KJV omitted it. The verse should read like this..."and is making all the little and all the great and the rich and the poor and the free and the slaves." Verse 16 implies that ALL people "both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave," within his REGIONAL empire and under his control will receive the mark, NOT THE ENTIRE PLANET!
Since we're here just stating our opinion, and not really proving anything, I'll give you my 2 cents. I agree that Antichrist's Empire is regional, but I do think it will be Europe. That's because Christianity was originally rooted and remains sustained there, just as Israel is rooted and now sustained in the Middle East.
So Islam is just Israel's evil neighbor, and Antichrist will be Christianity's evil neighbor in Europe. The False Prophet may or may not be a corrupt Pope. It seems more likely he will be an anti-Pope, because his religion will deify the Antichrist, rather than support Mother Mary and the God-Man Jesus. Antichrist will, I think, be intolerant with Christianity in Rome.
I also am not Pretrib. And I don't think the temple needs rebuilding. But I do think Antichrist rises up out of Christian territory, at a time when Christianity has fallen on hard times (which is now).
As for Revelation, I think it is *not* given in chronological order, and bears little relation to the Olivet Discourse, which is largely a prophecy of Israel's future in the NT era, termed a "punishment," or a "great tribulation." The evils of the Jews, and their tribulations, result in tribulation for Christians who suffered under the Jews, as well. And so, the entire NT era is filled with the experiences of Christian nations falling on hard times, turning to evil, and suffering tribulation, also putting good Christian into tribulation.
The reason Revelation duplicates visions is to confirm them by approaching a subject or time period from different angles, enhancing its understanding. Christ's Coming is referred to a number of places in Revelation, and not just once at the end of the book. So there are duplicate visions. And there are flashbacks as well as prolepses (future visions), which are clearly not chronological.
I can't comment on the word "all," because I don't know Greek. There are particularities in languages which do not lend to proper use by amateurs. So I won't go there, although I do have a brother who could likely tell me.
Although Antichrist's Empire will be, I think, based in Europe, I think the idea is that he has followers globally, if only in parts of every nation. People, in their Sin Nature, and in their rebellion against God's control, will be drawn to him and to "freedom for the flesh." This is a world-wide problem, because all people have a sin nature.
But the point about "all" is only one subject and certainly isn't evidence for all of the things you're for and against. They're just stating or asserting your opinions, just I now am giving you mine. I hope you don't mind?
