I'm just going to respond to this bit. See your almost there. Yes reproving does involve exposing the evil. However that is only a small part of reproving. The most important part of reproving just like Jesus did with Zacheus is to be concerned about their salvation. You have demonstrated that you do not care one single bit about the salvation of Ellen. Therefore you are not reproving but judging. See Ephesian 5. You should know it because you quoted it at me. I however mean read it in context. In particular the first two verses.
Other than that you are just quoting alot of scripture but not explaining how it is relevent to what you are talking about. Anyone can do that. A number of the scriptures are out of context. Just quoting a scripture saying something is wrong is useless when you have not established the person is actually doing that.
I have never once suggested this and any claim by you is clearly breaking the commandment to not bear false witness. You really should examine your behaviour. I have suggested you remove the plank from your eye before trying to remove the speck from anothers. That is in no way suggesting nobody has the right to expose sin. I'm just in favour of using the biblically prescribed method unlike you.
Well actually I'm following biblical instruction and correcting a fellow believer when they are in the wrong. I have not defended Ellen at all. I think you really need to work on your reading comprehension skills if you think I have done that. All I have done is pointed out that the way the bible instructs us to reprove people is not the way you are doing it. So essentially I am being God's watchman and soldier. See Ephesians 5 in particular the first two verses.
Do I now quote And ye SHALL be hated of ALL men for my name's sake (Matt. 10:22) back at you and say hey hey see you hate me so I must be right! No rather one must be right and hated to be able to be comforted by that verse.
Well tell you what please provide proof that you are keeping the old covenant then. Of course bear in mind what the bible says that those who live by the law can not succeed.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man,
but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not
deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
(1 Timothy 2:12-14)
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
(Luke 6:46)
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven
unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven
unto men. (Matt. 12:31)
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins (Heb. 10:26)
