My, my, that's an interesting thread.

Don't feel bad, Sandy....and Annabelle shouldn't, either. I myself got a sweet love letter from the same individual a little earlier this evening in a PM; she provided me with a laundry list of anti-Catholic hogwash from some Fundamentalist site "ministering" to Catholics, and then demanded to know if I could answer the charges or if I was "too deceived to care". :(

I told her that yes, I was too deceived to care, and she'd have to excuse me because I was in the middle of a poker game with Satan, seeing which one of us could corrupt more "real Christian" souls.

Personally, I think she's bucking for a banning.

It's in Scripture...

LOL.."The Sound of Music"?
One of my kids gave me the dvd for my birthday. We watch it ALL the time..sigh

Oh, Wols. I really lost it, and I can't find it in me to be sorry yet. I'm still mad. Poor Annabel.

You were a saint Sandy. When I was speechless, you spoke for me. Thank you!
I was shocked but not hurt by what Susan wrote.
I feel more pity than anger really.

Thanks guys...

That's a good one. :) It's amazing what cloistered nuns know about cars, isn't it.

 You're the sweetest Klingon I've ever known. ;) I would stand by you and hold you up anytime.

/me turns her back to the room so no-one can see her and Annabel do the secret Catholic handshake...

Well...yeah....'cause....uh....there aren't cool cars and nice little dogs in poker, right?

Right. But you gotta watch him all the time 'cause he cheats.

Unless you got a picture of dogs playing poker.

That's a classic. Especially in velvet.

Probably just as well.

*sigh*. Not board-related at all, but I'm a sysadmin, and we host a couple of online MUDs, and these always attract kids who get into snits and try to wreck each others' stuff... so one of them broke into our system (through this mud thing) and nuked everything he could - which is to say, that particular customer's files.

Three times.

The third time, we got detailed logs showing what he did, and the thing is... He did stuff that makes it pretty clear he *KNEW* we were tracking and logging him, and he just kept trying to delete the logs, after he knew it didn't work... and I can't believe he was that stupid. He *knew* he was busted, and he just kept trying the same thing.

What a twit.
