Well I found it more romantic than scary....

I just watched it, and it was awesome!

That lead actress did an awesome job!!!
Kudo's for NS for giving that new face a start. It was totally shocking with alot of unseen twists. Like the lead actor going out like that, what a surprise.

I thought the movie was great! Though, I like the fact that it was NOT scary like it was made to seem from teasers. I have seen all the other movies by this director/screenwriter, and think that if he had done what everyone thought, and made it scary as all get out, then it would be said that he was stuck in a rut and becoming predictable.

The plot was interesting, but the pace of the movie was so painfully slow. I was disappointed overall and wouldn't recommend it.

lol yeah it was a pretty good movie...as for it not being extremely scary...it wasn't really meant to be a horror movie...

I loved the village because it had an unexpected ending. I actually like to be suprised in movies. These days some of them are so predictable. "Signs" was a great movie that he did. I loved it. It had Mel Gibson in it. If you haven't seen it already you should.

It was average. Meaning it had its momments but it wasn't M. Night Shyamalan's best. Once you saw the "creature" it kinda killed the mood and took the suspense away that his movies usually have.

I saw this in the theater and I really liked it. I still like Signs the best though. I've watched that one several times. The other M Night Shyamalan movies I've seen were The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable and I liked those too. Does he have any other ones?

The Village was good, but not his best film. I enjoyed it and found it to be unique. I think Sixth Sense is his best and Signs scared me! Definitely see Signs if you haven't. Unbreakable was really good but was a bit off an oddball movie. I did enjoy it though...very philosophical.

Out of all of the movies he has written/directed I hae only seen The Village, Signs, Unbreakable and The sixth sense and loved them all! The Sixth Sense is my favorite, and Signs me least favorite. He is a great director.....almost all of his shots are like a picture. his movies are truly great to watch.
