I replied this to another person on another forum, who claimed to be "good enough" for God and the discussion was about masturbation and whether or not it's a "sin"...
News Flash ReesePiece, no one and I mean no one is "good enough" except Christ... You scare me with your words "You guys trying to convince me I'm not good enough, just isn't going to work"
Are you "good enough", if so, "good enough" for what?
It would be best just to admit that your masturbation is a sin, a sin you need to work on... Are you looking at or listening to porn on websites? If so, what's that doing to your head?
While we fall short, but we are still accepted, when we actively admit (our sins, as God defines sin, not as the world) Anyways, while we fall short, but we are still accepted, when we actively admit that we fall short before a Holy and Mighty God...
Admitting to God that our sin is sin (to him) keeps us "in-check" keeps us lowly and humble which leads to many many other good spiritual gifts, because we are starting out in a low place... People oftentimes talk about "the view from the top" the perspective they get when they feel on top of the world (and full of themselves) but there is a "view from the bottom" that leads us into love, joy, faith, hope, peace, happiness, kindness, generosity, true wisdom, real knowledge, essentially "selflessness"; a humble mind, and a gentle quiet heart, and a meek and mild spirit
God is interested in what we learned from our "view from the bottom" that's why he often takes us there, because we need the lessons that the view from the bottom teaches us to be prepared for the kingdom of God, (and the wise, take the low road) anyways God sometimes brings us to a low-place, especially when we are walking in our own pride or righteousness, or egotism or selfishness...
The view from the bottom or low road is very beneficial personally, if your willing to alter your perspective, and is the road we should take throughout our lives...
God Bless!
