I've just read Interview with a Vampire. Great book. I want to read the other ones too. So how is the second one, The Vampire Lestat? Also do you think that the Vampire Chronicles are evil?

Not evil. Amoral, sometimes, but that's part of what makes them so extraordinary. Congrats on discovering them

The rest of the series is awesome, but in my opinion, Ms. Rice never matched Interview with the Vampire - it's by far the most powerful. I don't want to say anything more, in case I spoil anything for you. Just read!

I've only read "Tale of the body thief" and I loved it. If I am not mistaken it is book 4 in the series.. I got it as a christmas gift from a friend. Now I want to read the rest of them. But sorry I can't report on the others. I just loved that one that I've read...

The first 3 are good, after that they kinda go down hill. The Mayfair Witches series is better I think.

I read half of 'The Vampire Lestat'. I just could not get into it any longer. The first book is great. A bit better than the movie.

-anyways I'm going to tell you my opinion, and don't get all offended because you asked. Yes I think they're evil, and I advise you to not read them. I'm telling you this because you are a Christian. To tell you the truth, when I came to know God and my purpose, I burned all my Anne Rice books, and threw away my Lord of the Rings Poster ( I thought it was so cool), by reading palm poster, and all these other habits. Everyone is always doing what they like, but it's true that it's harder to do what the Lord wants. You'll have to find out what He wants for you by reading His Word. Just try it, you'll feel good....
