A short video that explains what the unforgivable sin is.

Rejecting the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin.
All other sins can be forgiven. All people who attempt
to follow the law are hypocrites.

The only sin you cannot be forgiven for is rejecting the Holy Spirit.
This is the one sin that leads to death.

Sure Judas remained unforgiven....because he remained unconvinced that Jesus was God....and his "buddy" was arrested and so he was sad. All the disciples were upset that Jesus was arrested.

True! Unfortunately, here on Christian Forums, many have found and said that there are many more unforgivable sins. More than one of them have claimed to be sinless.

Not everyone who is thrown in the lake of fire committed an unforgivable sin. They simply did not repent of their abomination / sin/ rebellion which could have been forgiven...

Cool. Not really related to what I was saying, but keep up the positive attitude!

"attempting to not murder" seemed to be close enough to "repenting of abominations" to bridge the gap ... repenting of murder , murder can be forgiven. Repenting of abominations, abominations can be forgiven. But not repenting - as written "without repentance is no forgiveness".... thus even a sin that is not the unforgivable sin, may not be forgiven, perhaps ever.

Yeah, still not what I meant. I'm good on my understanding of sin, repentance and forgiveness, thanks.

I don't think Jesus ever singled out individual persons in the Gospels for criticism. But he did criticize groups and behaviors. It seems plain to me that the unforgivable sin would be something he had been against when he was on the earth and not something we would deduce later based on our own assumptions.

We are not to assume anything, not to have or base out thinking or our lives on any assumptions.
The Father Revealed to Yahushua(Jesus) and Reveals to Ekklesia all about Salvation and grants understanding of all Scripture as He Pleases. SPecifically and with Clarity in Spirit, and not with vagueness nor any wishy-washy-ness.
re "criticism", how many times does Scripture say a wise man loves criticism? (getting it), and no, not qualified with "constructive" ...... A wise man loves to be corrected, and takes it to heart even if it might be wrong he may still consider it , like King David did from the man across the river... saying "Yahuweh <may have> sent him, let him live <don't behead him> , he <may be> is for my good" ..
and they let the man live, until he disobeyed the Kings order not to leave a certain area or he would be executed(which did happen, but again, not because he cursed or criticized the King) ....

Not giving thanks or praying continuously are also sins.
But those who don't know the laws are not hypocrites.
Those who know what is right and do not do that, are sinning.

You're kinda all over the place.

If you know the law and attempt to do it you are a hypocrite.
If you know the law and don't do it you are sinning.

So, it's a lose/lose situation. Sounds just like Jesus to me... er, wait... no it doesn't.

Now was my statement hypocritical or sinful? I can't keep track.

Maybe I can get somebody else to clear up this hypocrisy thingy:

18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. 20 And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

Anyone who is a Christian, is a hypocrite.

They rejected that Christ could be their savior...the only unforgivable sin.
Any other is forgiven through faith. Even those we are unaware of.
Even those not hammered by legalists. All sins are washed clean
and no partial cleansing is available.

If they never repent then, are they ever forgiven?

Or do they have to pay the penalty for their sin, as written in Scripture ?

Through faith in Christ, all sins are forgiven, even though they never actually stop.
Jesus stops counting sins against us.

Paul explains it better.
We don't do what we want to do and what we blahter to others
is right. We are hypocrites.
Paul continues to write more after that, you should check it out sometime. But be warned, it's encouraging and and empowering and stuff so you may not like it.

Paul also claimed that Jesus blinded him....which Jesus does not do.
But much of what he wrote is ok. I don't bank on it though.
He was little support from the other 40 writers on some stuff.
