  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Undesirable

The masses all came around, for the sound
Of the voice of the one who loved us, the
Undesirables, He loved the prostitute, the
IRS collector, the bum who prepared the way
The lowly fishermen, the murder of His own
People, He never pushed them aside, for the
Sick needs the help as he once said, and
His love abounds throughout the centuries
Now, today, we have the new breed of
Undesirables, the gay neighbor you want to
Give a track too and leave your love in paper
The drug addict or alcoholic who has no strength
Left, that their only answer is oblivion instead of
Reality, the questioners, the seekers, the Wicans
The Pagans, the Atheists, the ones with tattoos and
Piercings, we offer them a hand that has a knife ready
To strike, because the speck in our own eye has
Blinded us from life, so we seperate ourselves from these
Undesirables, we think and believe the farther we
Stay from these so called "evil ones", the more holy
We will remain, when the only plateau we come to is
Utter loneliness, with maybe a few like minded beings
Instead of understanding something we do not know, we
Deem the spirit of God is moving in our hearts, and shut
The door of any love that is in that Spirit, and watch a
Soul die away, we are for certain that gay man is vile, when
Maybe he just struggles, we are for sure those drug addicts and
Alcoholics are vile, when maybe they just need help to control
We are for sure then "seekers" need our opinions, when
Maybe they just want a spiritual friend to ride this treacherous
Ride with them, we are for sure those people with tattoos and
Piercings are vile, when maybe all they are doing is excersing
The freedom we all have of expression, maybe we are wrong
Maybe we are the ones who nutured the Word for our own
Western, Americain ideals, maybe the assilmation between
Capitlism and Christianity ended messing everything up
Maybe the Americain is not the best way, step out of our boxes
Then let these undesirables show us truth at the same time we
Show them truth, watch the undesirables become desired, and
Watch our own spiritual life benefit ten-fold, because then
We imitate the one we say we follow, may we imitate the love of
The One who died for us, for the one never pursured people like
We do when we go out hunting, his love abounded to leave them
With a choice, but always the ability to talk to and be around
He was and is the only One, worthy to say that He has the way
We are measly Gentiles who are looking for a candle that was lit
Centuries ago, yet He is still alive today, showing love to the
Desirables, showing love to the undesirables, and giving hope to
Those who struggle, hope to those who are weak, He gives faith to
Those who cannot accept the way we have been fed in recent days
He gives hope in the completion of our perfection, but also hope for
The here and now, He is the One who turns us from undesirable to
Desirables, for in Him we are forever desired.

This is to anyone out there who may have felt rejected by the church. My apologies go out to any one who never felt love from us Christians. I pray that this will be a little salve on any wounds still left open. God Bless you all <><

Great message, definitely something that needs to be said.

My only gripe is that, for one thing, it feels a bit boggling. You should separate something that long into stanzas, to make it easier to read. It kinda hurts the eyes to see nothing but words all the way up and down, without any spaces in between.

Also, while I like the idea of no end-stopping, it gets a bit hectic. Sometimes this feels just like a piece of chopped-up and arranged prose.

But, I really liked it. As I said, the message was profound and necessary.

Great Job!

I loved this poem -- I loved it's message. I have to say I 100% agree with you. I actually posted something on another board I get on --

[Change] I'm a secular artist who considers myself Christian.. I wish "Christians" would stick to their calling, and worry about their personal walk moreso than trying to interpret another brother's calling, and suggesting they aren't in right-standing with Christ....

[Me]"I hear you Change. I find myself agreeing with your posts more than I post. There are people who think the same of my spoken word poetry. They'll express that they believe I'm gifted at it, but think I should preach Christ more than positivity. I believe the two go hand in hand, and the people I'm mostly performing for know of my religous affiliation.

But all they hear is that I cussed somewhere in the poetry and therefor have left a bad impression.

I'm not hating, but I just wish people would be more open minded about things. I believe in community and helping each other through life, but I also think we should embrace each others differences in beliefs as well. God made us all different on purpose, for a reason, and the least we should do is accept that. "
