How old do you think the earth is? If you choose to listen to textbooks and your teachers, they both will tell you that the earth is millions of years old. But wait one second. Genesis 1 says: "god created the heaven and the earth". Now if you date everything in the bible to back when god created adam and eve, it will cleary show that the earth is only 6000 years old; Not millions!!!!!! They also say that dinosaurs also lived millions of years ago. Wrong again. Now when the flood came in the days of noah, god comanded him to build an arc and bring 2 of every species alone with him. Now by species he meant 2 of every dinosaur. Now dinosaurs still live today as we speak unlike in textbooks how they say that they have been dead for millions of years old. People have found art work on the grand canion of dinosaurs, and if textbooks were correct, they say that man and dinoaurs never lived together. Now if that were true, how would they know what dinosaurs look like? Of course in the bible they are refered as dragons because the term "dinosaur" wasnt created until the 1800's but how can people have drawn pictures of dinoaurs if they have never seen them. Its not just on the grand canion, hundreds of rocks and other things show the same, people and dinosaurs together. Most of the stuff in textbooks are lies. What do you guys believe?

Pretty doggone old.

If you choose to listen to textbooks and your teachers, they both will tell you that the earth is millions of years old.
Yep, it sure does look that way.

But wait one second. Genesis 1 says: "god created the heaven and the earth".
Yep, that He did.

Now if you date everything in the bible to back when god created adam and eve, it will cleary show that the earth is only 6000 years old; Not millions!!!!!!
No, it doesn't "clearly show" any such thing. That's another one of those deals where folks decide on the doctrine first and then interpret the Scripture to fit.

They also say that dinosaurs also lived millions of years ago. Wrong again.
The Bible doesn't say anything at all about dinosaurs, does it? Apparently they weren't relevant.

Now when the flood came in the days of noah, god comanded him to build an arc and bring 2 of every species alone with him. Now by species he meant 2 of every dinosaur.
Assuming that dinosaurs weren't already extinct, which would also explain why they weren't mentioned.

Now dinosaurs still live today
Shot who? You seen any lately?

we speak unlike in textbooks how they say that they have been dead for millions of years old.
They just lying low for the past few thousand years, or what?

People have found art work on the grand canion of dinosaurs
Not that I've ever heard of. Got any links?

and if textbooks were correct, they say that man and dinoaurs never lived together.
Which once again explains why the Bible doesn't mention them.

Now if that were true, how would they know what dinosaurs look like?
Artists' conceptions based on excavated bones.

Of course in the bible they are refered as dragons
For example?

how can people have drawn pictures of dinoaurs if they have never seen them.
They didn't.

Its not just on the grand canion, hundreds of rocks and other things show the same, people and dinosaurs together.
Jurassic Park, right?

Most of the stuff in textbooks are lies.
No, not really.

So, what is the point to all this sarcasm?

I agree with his post for the most part.

Then provide any kind of evidence that any of this isn't just the usual kind of lying creationist bilge-water we expect from "Dr." Hovind and his ilk.

You'll have a big problem though: it doesn't exist.

The contents of his post are ridiculous in the extreme. Drawings of "dinosaurs" are ambiguous enough that they could be any number of creatures, and even if they were pictures of dinosaurs they could simply be fanciful interpretations of fossil remains discovered. And sure, Noah took two of every creature. Including dinosaurs. Because they certainly wouldn't break out of their enclosures, consume each other, consume more food in a week than the ark could possibly hold and stay afloat, create an enormous, unmanageable mess that would not only be filthy, but disease-ridden, and in general be completely impossible to fit, along with the vast majority of all other animals. Furthermore, if dinosaurs and man had lived together, man would have gone extinct long ago. Carnivorous dinosaurs were fearsome predators that did not allow for the possibility of a competing family of organisms, especially ones as physically powerless as humans.

Oh yeah, and all the empirical evidence points to a mass extinction that ended up killing off the dinosaurs over 50 million years ago.

Hey we all have faith. If you choose to have faith in evolution, I'm not going to stop you.

Guys, guys, this has all been done to death already. Creation vs evolution is not at the heart of salvation. We aren't going to convince each other on this matter.

It's amusing to see people get riled up that I support Creation. No need to feel so threatened if you have faith in Evolution. If that works for you, so be it.

Missed my point. My beef is with the word "faith", not with either of the theories. :p

This is my beef, too (mmmm... beef). Faith, in a propositional sense, is not at all theologically meaningful.

The only thing that I'm "getting riled up" about is your use of "faith" in connection with evolution. Faith is a term a Christian ought to use very carefully and precisely. This is not what I see.

Ditto. I have faith in God, not in evolution. I accept evolution. There's a difference.
