Wherefore the law [is]
holy, and the commandment
holy, and
just, and
good. Romans 7:12
Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; [for] he [is]
holy. Ps. 99:5
Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a
just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me. Isa. 45:21
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth
good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 3 John 1:11
Seems like the commandments have something in common with God. What do we say then is the law sin? What is bad about keeping the ten Commandments? Am I a legallist because I do not steal? Wow!!
But you totally ignore the preceeding four verses. here they are:
8But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9For I was alive without the law once: but when
the commandment came,
sin revived, and
I died.
10And the
commandment, which was ordained to life, I
found to be unto death. 11For sin, taking occasion by
the commandment,
deceived me, and by
it slew me.
Are you even remotely suggesting that I am anomos? Galatians 5:16 -21. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
