Illusions can be fun
Is there anyone who really and truly believes the Scriptures do not lie?
Is there anyone who really and truly believes the Scriptures do not lie?
Anyone who would want to discuss Scripture topic and the belief of the early Church fathers on its relevancy and truth as to the topic of the geocentric creation?
Why do men choose unbelief about the truth of Scripture on this topic and why do some make stupid unrelated off topic posts to derail the thread?
Your post is only relevant in that it points out that men who deny the truth of Scripture invent and choose to believe all manner of fables put forth by men of unbelief, which are refuted by the Word of God itself as anyone who actually cares to study it for themselves will discover.Certain people believed the world sits on a turtle's back, and when asked what the turtle sits on- turtles, all the way down.
One would be surprised how far people will go to deny certain things. In their case, the denial that the world was round.
But the most literal biblical interpretation I've ever come across is the 'snow globe' illustration- the land is flat and round, and the sky circles it like an orb. And outside the orb is the celestial realm. It was even proposed that stars were holes of the orb, which revealed the light of the realm.
Can't seem to find a picture of it, but I've seen the illustration before.
It amuses me that you call on historic Christianity (i.e. the Early Church Fathers, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church)

1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
Hebrew תבֵל /tebel means "globe" -from the B-L etymons which denote swelling, and from those etymons we get words like "belly, ball, bulb, bell, balloon", and so on and so forth.
Only ignorance of the Word itself would cause a person to state that the world is flat, and only willful ignorance of the Word itself causes a person to deny the Truth of Scripture that states the heavens circle the earth and that the sun rises and sets around the globe following its own peculiar path in the circle/heavens of the earth...
God said the sun, moon, and stars control the seasons. Unbelief says the earth tilts on its axis and revolves around the sun, to bring in the seasons.
Scriptures do not lie, and men are deluded, but those who think themselves wise by rejecting the Truth of the Word are foolish indeed, in this matter of what the Word declares from the beginning, that the heavens circle the earth and the sun, moon, and stars have their own peculiar paths ordained for them so as to run their courses in, year by year, so as to mark time and bring in the seasons.
^ Yes.The theory of relativity clearly illustrates that everything is relative. So the earth revoling around the sun, or the sun revolving around the earth are both ultimately synonymous.
Obviously, some people don't deduce physics very well.

Tell me about it, it's hard to fathom density of that magnitude. She's been flogging that long dead horse for a while, here's a post of hers from nigh a year ago insisting on the same trash interpretation:

The OP does not quote scripture so does not work with the title of the thread.
The Helio Heads foolish rhetoric and mocking just reaffirms my belief in the word of God; but it also makes me very sad to see how deceived so many christians have be become. They only believe what they are told and deny there own eyes, the bible and common sense. Sad very Sad!

So essentially, she has a tenuous grasp of 12th century science that didn't really exist because Geocentrism is actually a belief of the Renaissance, one that discounted the previous belief in a Sola-centric solar system?
I'm open minded and am interested in the sources of this claim so that I can research this myself, the picture doesn't explain anything. got links? Thanks
Well, actually after taking a second glance at the picture I do see the image of America in darkness, inside the left half shell. I wonder why the artist depicts this?
Oh, we'll bring you back. A comfy orbit around the moon and slingshot back to the sphere we live on. We'll even change the math so that the movement we say the earth has is not factored in.God Bless you too, LOL.
