The Earth is 4.6 billion years old, not 6,000. Ever hear of carbon dating? Human skulls have been found that are 233,000 years old. Like many Christians, I follow God and Science. It makes perfect sense.
This isn't a thread to discuss your acceptance of the lie of billions of years.
This is about what The Word of God states, and the sun revolves in it's ordained circuit in the revolving heavens, around the globe.

Carbon dating is limited to 40-50 thousand years, assuming there has been no cross contamination and the rate of production of Carbon-14 has been constant, which simply cannot be known with certainty. So it is impossible to determine an age of 233,000 years.

The problem with your theory, aside from the fact that it completely ignores Alexandrian Christological-typological-prophetic exegesis in favor of a literalism so extreme that it exceeds that of Antiochene literal-historical exegesis, and that it implies that Patristic interpretations using those methods posit that Scripture is lying, which is absolutely not the case, is that the orbits of the planets around the Sun effectively disprove Geocentrism. The mere fact that our view of Mars or Venus or other planets can be obstructed by the Sun disproves the Geocentric model.

There is also the insurmountable problem that we have been launching interplanetary space probes since the 1960s based on the Heliocentric model, and these probes could not have reached their destination if your interpretation of Scripture was accurate.

It's not God's word if it's in a book written by a Roman aristocrat

Better do your research. The geocentric earth was used for those launches.
Earth is NOT a planet. Planet means wandering star, and the wandering stars have no light of their own, and their courses/paths are each peculiar to themselves.
And FYI the Word of God tells us Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still when the sun was near setting, and God heeded Joshua and the sun and moon stood still for very nearly one whole extra day.
It is written in the Book of the Upright (the real book of Jasher, a history book).

I raised 7 children on the Word of God, and homeschooled 5 of them. During those years, we did our research on all the deceptions of science so called, and found many resources in the scientists who are YEC creationists. My kids are not deceived, and they may be happy to debate people like you and others like you who deny the Word of God on the creation as it is written, but I am not going to do your research for you to prove you are deceived in carbon dating showing great ages and other proven deceptions (lava from a volcano that had recently erupted, for instance, carbon dated to a great age, and many other such).
Scripture cannot lie, and the sun revolves around the earth.
In Fact, as I have written before, "God has set His temple in the sun", so says the Hebrew, early Greek Septuagint, Latin Vulgate, and Douay Rheims Bible translations.
After Galileo, the English translators totally garbled that Scripture to nonsense.

As to the speed of light: God stretched out the heavens, from this globe, between the cut in two primal, global waters of creation on day 2 of creation week. Before that, on day 1, there was nothing in existence but the globe of waters suspended in the revolving "firmament", and His Word calls it " the firmament of His Powers".
He "grew" it by multiplying it's substance outward from this globe, and upward, like a "boom! boom! boom! Sort of like the cells of a zygote rapidly multiplying (as seen under an electron microscope, which has been filmed) as one of the words in Scripture which is used to describe the stretching out of the "dry" from the waters and the "heavens" under the waters, means.
The waters above the stretched out heavens revolve, as the heavens do, around the global earth, so the outer limit of this creation is the waters above the stretched out heavens.
So, speed of light "out there" isn't what some say, because the heavens were stretched out to the limits of what is, on day 2 of creation week.

How do you explain the retrograde motion of Mars? And why do the descriptions/laws of Kepler and Newton so accurately predict this retrograde motion?

That is totally explained and demonstrated in a video that Robert Sungenis, who co
-wrote "Galileo was Wrong, the Church was Right" has put together. I will see if it is online.
I haven't watched my copies on that subject in some time and since we moved to Fl from WA State 4 years ago, I haven't found them, and may just buy them again. They demonstrate in animation the peculiar orbits of each of the planets and sun in the heavens as the heavens circle the earth. Nothing goes backwards but is in it's own orbit in the heavens as the heavens circle the earth.

The Book of Enoch was never accepted into the Jewish canon of Scripture. Therefore it was never accepted as the inspired Word of God by them or by the early church.

The Book of Enoch was never accepted into the Jewish canon of Scripture.

It’s not in the Rabinnical, Masoretic canon, but it is in the canon of the Beta Israel, the Jews of Ethiopia (Ethiopia converted entirely to Judaism after Solomon and the Queen “exchanged royal gifts,” and indeed their son Prince Solomon secreted the Ark of the Covenant to Ethiopia where it remains, something not many people are aware of, because most people aren’t aware Ethiopia is the only Christian nation where almost all the Christians are of Jewish descent).

Furthermore, fragments of the Book of Enoch, like most of the Deuterocanonical Books previously thought not to have existed in Hebrew or Aramaic, have turned up among the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The fact is, we don’t know what the Old Testament canon looked like before the destruction of Jerusalem following the Bar Kochba revolt in 130 AD, although a major clue is in the contents of the Septuagint, which was the Old Testament of the Early Church until the Peshitta and Vulgate were translated, and the Ethiopians with their more expansive Old Testament mostly converted in the 410s, around the same time as the Georgians.

Therefore it was never accepted as the inspired Word of God by them or by the early church.

The Beta Israel are Jews and accept it as inspired, and the Ethiopian Christians accepts it as inspired, and Ethiopia was either the fourth or fifth country whose rulers converted to Christianity (I can’t recall whether they or the Georgians converted first, but as I said, it was around the same time). The first three were the Kingdom of Edessa, a city state, the Kingdom of Armenia, and Emperor Constantine, and with him, effectively, the Roman Empire.*

Furthermore, the Ethiopian church is part of the Oriental Orthodox communion, and indeed, until the 20th part of the century was part of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, before being granted autocephaly (complete autonomy; previously the Abune, the presiding bishop of the Ethiopian church, was selected by the Coptic Holy Synod). Now, Enoch has never been part of the Coptic canon, nor the canons of the other Oriental Orthodox churches (the Syriac Orthodox, Indian Orthodox and the Armenian Apostolic Church). However, at no time has the inclusion of Enoch in the Ethiopian (and since 1994, the Eritrean) canon been a source of friction between the Ethiopian and Coptic church, nor with the other Oriental Orthodox churches, nor with the Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholics, Anglicans and other churches the Oriental Orthodox have engaged in ecumenical dialogue with (which has been extremely successful between the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria and its Eastern Orthodox counterpart, the Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria).

What is more, the Epistle of Jude quotes Enoch, so, that, combined with Ethiopian acceptance of it and the fragments recovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls is more than enough for me to regard it as inspired.

However, I read it using primarily Alexandrian exegesis, and even among people I know of who read it using a hyper-literal approach, this is the only instance I have seen of it being used to advocate Geocentrism.

*Although after his death, under Constantius, the Council of Nicaea was set aside, St. Athanasius was sent into exile for much of his life, and the Christian church in much of the Roman Empire was persecuted in favor of the heretical Arian cult, a counterfeit Christianity which denied the deity of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit. This persecution eased under Emperor Valens, and eased further under Emperor Theodosius I, the first Christian emperor since St. Constantine, but even under his watch, an incident of attempted persecution occurred in Milan in 386 AD. And later, after the Empire fell, Visigoth Arians in North Africa and the Middle East converted to Islam and a genocide of all African Christians living west of Egypt ensued, while much of Europe was for a time ruled by Ostrogothic Arians, such as King Odoacer.

I simple shake my head in disgust as the ignorance of so many "christians" who believe such lies about flat earth and sun going around the earth. It's unbelievable that people are so very dumb.
And what's even more sad is that facts and self-evident observation won't sway such closed minds. They truly are zombies of Satan.

The Sun Revolves Around The Earth. Scripture Cannot Lie.

Everyone knows Earth revolves around the sun. There is absolutely no reason in the universe to think the reverse is true.

One reason we know this is the Bible does not lie. Nowhere does the Bible say any star revolves around a planet.

My eldest daughter when she got angry with me, accused me of thinking that the world revolved around me!

I have a tee shirt that I occasionally wear to the gym that says: "Actually, the world does revolve around me!"
