I have a feeling you don't take too many of us seriously, including Jesus, Himself.

What gets me is those who say, "I asked my pastor/priest many questions, and he told me to get lost."

I can see why he told you guys to "get lost" now; he probably tried his best to answer them, only to be met with venting & ridicule.

No, I really don't think you're trying to make sense out of it.

You're bouncing 'Satan' and 'Lucifer' and 'the serpent-beast' around; and doing it out of chronological order to boot.

Let's set the record straight:

1. God created Lucifer.
2. God created earth.
3. God assigned Lucifer a job on earth, associated with the Garden of Eden.*
4. Lucifer rebelled and became Satan.
5. Satan entered a serpent-beast, possibly Eve's favorite pet.
6. The Fall occurred.

* What Lucifer's job was, I don't know. One supposition I adhere to is that it was Lucifer's job to provide musical worship of some sort, while also tending the Tree of Knowledge, which grew fruit for his fellow angels to enjoy.

Now ... let's see how serious you are about understanding.

Why doesn't the GEN text make any mention of the serpent being "taken over" by Satan? All it says is that the serpent was the smartest beast in the Garden. It certainly makes no implication it was doing anything under someone else's control. Also, I thought Satan himself is refered to as "that old serpent" in a later text. How does that fit with him taking control over the serpent? If anything it seems to imply he was the serpent.

One final question... do you consider what you have said about the serpent and Satan (ignoring the last part about his job, which I assume was purely speculative) to be "Basic Doctrine?"

I've always wondered where the dove found a live branch after the flood destroyed all living things, including plants.

QV please:

I believe that God took the waters back off the earth, like He did in Genesis 1 when He formed the water canopy -- or possibly a giant ice cube in space, whatever shape it was.

Anyway, I believe that God took the waters back off the earth, including most of the waters from 'the fountains of the deep', along with some debris, and placed them elsewhere in our solar system, to serve as a "reminder" to other angels of what happened the year of the Flood.

Paul says that we entertain angels unaware, and that tells me that angels walk this earth incognito; and I would venture to say they have a cosmic reminder of what happened, just in case any of them get any ideas.

The dove bringing back the olive leaf, tells me that God "hypergrew" the earth again, just as He did in Genesis 1 -- and that the earth was green once more.

Again, this is pure speculation on my part.

That conversation went on for hours; and right on the heels of a lengthy conversation on the Sin Nature.

Actually the experts believe that the first part of Genesis was copied from clay tablets because of the structure of the words. Moses had every book written at the time available to him. Even after his study in Egypt his father in law was a priest and Moses learned a lot from him. They say the library was destroyed in Alexandria but it was sold to pay war debts. Those original tablets could be hidden away in a monastery somewhere.

There's so much wrong here I don't know where to begin.

1. No experts believe that. The Torah comes from oral tradition and was first transcribed about ~1200 B.C.
2. No he didn't, because he didn't have Chinese texts, Harappan texts, Mycenaean Greek texts, Persian texts, etc. etc.
3. What was his father-in-law's name?
4. They who? What tablets (the texts at Alexandria were vellum scrolls)? And no, it's well understood who destroyed the Library, why and when.
