And another:

It is all a matter of perspective me thinks......

Scene from movie "Foolin' Around"

Anette: "Is this banana right or wrong?"
Gary: "Right or wrong for what?"

I never insert a deity of choice when discussing an ID. The ones who insist on inserting deities into the discussion are the atheists.

You think the guys who invented ID are atheists?

Governing Goals

  • To defeat scientific materialism and its destructive moral, cultural and political legacies.
  • To replace materialistic explanations with the theistic understanding that nature and human beings are created by God.
The Wedge Document, accidentally leaked by the Discovery Institute

Those are the guys who insisted on inserting dieties into the discussion. To be fair, they didn't intend on telling the rest of us; the idea was to disguise their new religious ideas as science. Still, it makes it very clear who was trying to insert God into this.

Also, you say that ID proponents claim that the ID does what exactly that you say it doesn't do?

When they think no one else is listening.

As a Catholic, why are you so upset with God being introduced into any subject?

Make up your mind. It seems that now you want to put your God back into ID.

Of course you are not fooling anyone, either those for ID or against it. So why try?

Either that or living with their head in the sand, I suppose. I mean, you do know that even Ray Comfort has retracted the banana claim after it was pointed out to him that the banana was indeed designed - by human beings - don't you? In fact, he even claims that atheists made the video (despite it being hosted on his YouTube channel) in order to make him look stupid.

So, yeah, either deliberately trying to wind people up, or unbelievably detached from reality and reason.

But one thing that banana claim shows, is that God gifts us scientists to make our lives better.

The banana, which started out as food for animals, is now a human delicacy; thanks to scientists who hybridized it.

Yep. Selective selection - natural selection. It's all good.

No, I did not.

Oh, so when you said:

That's why we have about seven different ways we got our moon.

You weren't actually talking about seven ideas in science about where our moon came from? What were you talking about then, AV? What were you talking about in that passage I quoted?

Look them up yourself, if it really matters.

I did. Funnily enough, while there have been many ideas about where the moon came from over the years, they've pretty much all been discredited and scientists now accept the impact hypothesis.

Last I checked, that's one way to get the moon, not seven.
