How do you know if you're really saved? Or Not?
If you have besetting sins like most people do, how do you know you are not really on the wide path that leads to destruction? Maybe you have asked Jesus into your heart a hundred times. Every time being as sincere as you can imagine. Ask and it will be answered, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened. Well you have done the above and it seems like nothing has happened. You want so much to be with Jesus but your baggage gets in the way. Maybe next week things will be different. Maybe next week you can be close to Him. In the reformed view you have to be regenerated first, then all things will be better as you climb the ladder of sanctification. You then know you are one of the elect. What about the ones still in the ditches. What about the ones who have not experienced the "new birth"? What about the left behind? What about the ones who want to come but cannot escape the world?
