does anyone listen to the streets? yes, he is pretty crude at times, but in my opinion is a heaps better rapper than his american counterpart, mr mathers.

there seems to be more thought put into the songs, but it still retains that "raw" edge.

the main guy involved is mike skinner

their biggest hit to date would probably be the song "fit but you know it"

what appeals to me about them is they aren't american. i know it kinda sounds a bit weird, but i love finding non american music

I don't like them/him (I'm not sure which would be more appropriate?). They don't do any real "social commentary", and are just another soft/alternative garage/rap sort of outfit.

And anybody OR group that feels the urge to name themselves "The Streets" must be trying to compensate for something .

Actually, their biggest hit is the song "Dry Your Eyes" which I have in my collection. It was No.1 in Britain recently. Nice backing, but a bit weird with that Cockney accent.

I don't think he can be described as the British Eminem though.

i was just basing it on the airplay that it gets on the radio over here in aust. dry your eyes hasnt' taken off as big as fit but you know it.

i have heard the name before, but not the music. Then again, if i've heard the name, it probably would have been during backannouncing of songs on the radio so i probably have heard them, but wouldn't know if i had.

his style is diff. from the streets. they probably get pushed together in association for brit hip hop/rap. rjd2 doesn't really rap or sing on his albums but he does a good job at what he does. i like his stuff a lot. was listening to some of the streets stuff again, and i have to say that mike skinner's voice is kind of annoying to me, so i can't really get into his stuff just yet. but check out rjd2. i think i like deadringer better than since we last spoke.
