The Sky Fire
Oranges, reds stretch out in front of me
On and on as far as my eye can see
So bright it stings my sleepy eyes
Yet so awesome that from it I can not shy
Transfixed by it's hues I stop and stare
Who set the sky on fire this morn?
I do not care
As it stretches upwards marking break of a new day
The town glows orange where it was once grey
Sentiments marked in my own heart
For today is time for a brand new start
Gone are the trials of the past
A shadow over me they did cast
Now is the time to wake and fight
To storm into battle with all thy might
To be like the sun and greet each day
With fire and strength to burn out the grey
To storm into the world and chase out the blue
To burn ferociously, a fire that's true
To chase chase out the night, not hide in the dark
To bring forth the light that stirs in my heart
I know not who started the sky fire this morn
But it sparked in my heart, a brand new dawn
