Starting next Monday, I'm interning at a U.S. embassy in South America.

One place you'd most like to visit?

That sounds amazing!

I'd love more than anything to go to Scotland.

How did you end up getting that internship?

I applied here:

http://www.careers.state.gov/student/programs/index.html

It's best not to apply with one's heart set on a certain country, though. You can choose two different regions, and a preferred country in each, but the odds of getting the country you picked for first choice are only slightly better than that of winning the lottery.
Otherwise I'd be in Ireland. :sigh:

Ah well, I'm looking forward to seeing Paraguay!

What is the one song you'd like to learn how to play for your wedding?

Actually I've played at enough people's weddings. For my own wedding, I would like someone else to do the music. :p

what brought you to CF
I wasn't appreciate on a different Religon Board. There were a mixture of liberal Christians, Buddhists, Mormons, and they pegged me a "Fundy," and just weren't very nice. Most were polite, but one was downright nasty. No matter what I posted, it was dubbed "inappropriate." Finally she told me I should try to remember I was on a Religion board, NOT a Christian board. Then I started thinking that she was probably right. I needed a CF! Tah-Dah....and here I am.

And we're glad you're here and welcome.

Do you have anything actually written down in terms of plans for your wedding?

No, b/c I'm a guy and I figure that the woman I marry will have her own thoughts on the matter, planned for a very long time. My role is to get there, be dressed appropriately and not trip on the way down the aisle, and say 'I do' when prompted. :p

Do you have a church picked where you'd like to get married?

I can't really put a dollar figure on reasonable, b/c I'm not in the planning stages and don't know what things cost. However, I know people who've spent a literal fortune on their wedding and wound up living for a few years in a 400 sq ft studio, even after a kid b/c of the cost - they'd spent all they had. That's too much.

Would you like to write your own vows or use traditional ones?
