If you doubt / reject God Himself you will be. And if you reject and doubt Him by not being obedient to what He or His Son tells us to do in the Bible you will be cut off.

Think this isn't tactful sister. He can't hear your Christian love through text. Although from what I have seen you seem loving, caring and kind, this seems a little abrupt.

Exactly. From what I can see there is good doubt and bad doubt and often hard to differentiate which is which.

Don't want to hijack but "certainty" can be just as problematic as doubt in my opinion. "Certainty" in Christians can lead to a lack of empathy for people who they are evangelising to. And I would seriously question what their "certainty" is based on.

It does indeed. I prefer not to when I can't relate to them in person... I'm still getting over doing something similar to my dear real life friend. She is still getting over it too. The Christian in her means she holds no ill will but it has wavered her faith a little.

Thankfully BCP seems to be made of sterner stuff, being on here will have toughened him up to far worse. x

We have no right to a view that's why we need to adopt God's only that is truth because He is perfect.

Made me laugh!! Thanks for that. Yeah I get told I'm dogmatic I don't know how to be tactful but I don't mean to be like in your face. and I want to share that joy with others because it's a relief to me that I want others to have.
I am certain that God is perfect but I don't think about if it's Him talking through me or me talking I know that makes no sense lol!
It must be me talking because the Holy Spirit wouldn't sin with the tongue and I do a lot. I come across as self righteous in my enthusiasm but I'm really not in person I am shy and insecure. So I boast of God like Paul because He is the only thing worth boasting about!

There is indeed a place for humility, especially.

I am reminded of a short story we read in English Lit which seemed to underscore a belief that PERFECT belief without a shadow of questioning is the Source of salvation. It's very subtle. But that is not the historic understanding of Christianity.

We must not reject God. But perfect belief, like perfect theology, is not the source of salvation. Trusting God in spite of our doubts is much more profitable to our souls.
