The serpent was more crafty than any OTHER beast of the field

Berean Standard Bible, Gen 3:

1a Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made.

Perhaps the serpent was not one of the beasts of the field, but God placed it there from elsewhere.

But then, English Standard Version:

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made.

I have the e-Sword program on my computer. On this program, I have downloaded the American Standard Version, the ESV, the KJV, the KJV+ (which includes Strong's Concordance), the BSB, as well as the MKJV. I have also checked with the NKJV as well. It is interesting to note that only the ESV uses the word "other" with the serpent in Genesis 3:1
