Their belief requires that they vilify the majority of Christians. That is not a spiritually healthy place to be.

Twas just a joke my friend. The premise of the joke is I supposedly think I'm always right. And I didn't seek you out. I just opened a thread.

No objection to your statement really, I conclusively agree with you... but are you kidding? lol

It means everything to them. If others do not agree with them then something is challenging a fragile foundation based on propaganda and repetition. Only those who can't accept they can be deceived must fight information that threatens to undermine shaky pillars.

In other words, the ego can't look outside of the box and people are trying to force them to do so.. but alas...... it is just too scary to do and all opposition must be silenced.

Admitting one could be wrong? That is what I was asking if you were kidding about. No, that will always matter to them. Of course, conceptually your sentiment is spot on.. they shouldn't care if they stood on concrete foundations that cannot be shaken. The disagreeing without looking deeper is easier on the ego than to consider the alternative and to actually look. Just "feels" better to "know" that you could "never" be deceived so immensely.

Oh and by the way, I mean all of that in the most friendly manner possible. I just think it suspicious that people must silence opposition that they claim has nothing of truth underpinning it.

If... that were true, there would be no need to oppose it so exhaustively. Not to mention, and even more importantly, it is not a salvation issue and therefore the need to engage and disprove it carries no weight eternally if it were true or not.

Before I suspected there was any truth to anything besides the general narrative, I wasn't so offended nor concerned about people saying such things. Which is what is so suspect. Why is anyone at all? (full circle back to Servus statement)

Because people who have actually been to Antarctica do not report that they had to climb/jump/fly over an wall of ice, and people who have sailed around Antarctica don't report it encircling the earth. Are they all lying, in your view?

It's not just Hentenza's world. There are scientific bases on the continent of Antarctica, explorers who have been there, sailors who have sailed around it.

People have not ventured deep into the true Antarctica, so yes someone is lying either that or they truly do not know where they really are.

Antarctica has been throughly explored. The South Pole has been reached from several different directions. It would be impossible to do that if Antarctica wasn't a continent.

Here's why: If Antarctica was actually a ring, all those who reached the South Pole, would have instead reached the edge of the outer rim of the ring.

Several teams of explorers have reached the South Pole on foot. Which is only possible if Antarctica is a continent. If they walked out that far on a ring of land ice they would have come to the outer edge of it.
