The temple in prophecy is symbolic.

    The flesh sees everything literally.

These are the last days, however.

God has frustrated the rebuilding of the Temple four times in history. The forth time he frustrated it because the Jews think that the ancient Fort Antonia is the Temple mount. Not true. The Temple was located south of the Fortress and was totally destroyed - just like Jesus said it would be.

The Jews are doing their own thing while God is working on bringing them to the cross - right where he wants them - along with everyone else who have recieved the New Covenant.

If Joseph is a type of Christ then it seems like Jesus will someday be united with his blood brothers the Jews. Just as Joseph forgave his brothers and was reunited to them. Do you think so?

Heres a weird thing. Since i became a christian in the late 80s, i've heard this report many times! And STILL i havent seen any photos or anything that they actually are building a altar.
The video "proof" on the news that this is from, only shows these guys picking up some stones from the sea and laying it on a piace of plastic, and diggin some sand.
But heres the clue: The temple institute ask for donations to build it and need about 100.000 shekels. LOL! I think we at least can think it would be wise to investigate a little before we donate or support this jewish organisation, that also is very anti-Jesus.

Btw, these are also the guys that is the origin of the "red heifer" hoax. I've heard this story too, since the late 80s , that they now have a red heifer required for the sacrifice. The temple institute never actually have found such an animal, despiste their claims, but they do get much financial support from western christians when they claim such things! A group i suspect they love to take money from, lol!

Great post. I think the story about Joseph and his brothers could be a type of Gods plan for the jewish people.
But i also think that just because God has a plan to bring the jweish people into the Kingdom, and maybe in an extravagant way, doesn't mean he is going to rebuild the old temple and the priesthood! What a horrible thought, that priests would once again sacrifice animal blood in Jerusalem, while the cross has the only blood that ever takes away sin.

    Dear Gary,
I agree with your thinking. The whole book of Hebrews was intended to stop Christians from going back to the old Jewish sacrificial system. It explained that the New Covenant was a better covenant. Prersecution was one thing that was driving them back to the old system because at that moment Nero was persecuting the Christians for burning Rome - not the Jews at that particular time. When they left Christianity for the symbolism of Judiasm there remained no more sacrifice for sins because the Old Covenant pointed toward the ultimate one time sacrifice of Jesus and to ignore this fact of history and to go back to the old symbolic system negates the work of Christ. That means that the Old Covenant system would go on forever.

That would make sense, for as early as next year the ultra-Orthodox
Jews could storm the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, destroy the Dome
of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque, and commence building the
third Jewish temple in Jerusalem. They will be able to keep their
temple even after they are subsequently defeated by the Antichrist,
for after he defeats them he will "cut" a seven-year peace treaty
with a false "Messiah" of theirs (Daniel 9:26a,27a, Daniel 11:22-23a),
permitting the ultra-Orthodox Jews to keep their temple and continue
to offer the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices in front of it for at least
seven more years, so long as they give up the outer court of the
temple to the Muslims (Revelation 11:2a) so that the Muslims can
rebuild the Al Aqsa Mosque and resume worship on the Temple Mount.

But then, only two or three years later, the Antichrist will break the
seven-year treaty (Daniel 9:27), attack the temple, stop the daily
Mosaic sacrifices (Daniel 11:31, Matthew 24:15), and sit in the
temple and proclaim himself God (Daniel 11:36, 2 Thessalonians 2:4).
Thus will begin the Antichrist's 42-month Luciferian reign of terror
over the whole earth (Revelation 13:4-18).

What judgments are going to hit America, and when? Do they
include the Yellowstone Caldera blowing its top and blanketing half
the country in ashes; or "the Big One" earthquake hitting Los
Angeles or San Francisco; or an earthquake off the coast of Seattle
causing a huge tsunami to strike the Northwest coast; or terrorists
managing to detonate a nuclear bomb in a shipping container (from
Thailand) in Long Beach harbor, or in a truck in Manhattan, or in a
plane flying over Washington DC; or a volcanic island in the Canaries
erupting and collapsing into the sea and causing a huge tsunami to
strike the Eastern seaboard; or an asteroid or comet striking the
Northeastern Pacific and causing a huge tsunami to strike the West

All that's needed for the Jews to resume sacrifices (whether right or wrong) is the altar. The Temple is NOT necessary. Just something to think about! :)

Misposted - this should be on the Dispensational Forum along with their other endless exciting, sensational, and warped eschatology.

    United Ch. of Christ
Animal sacrifice is savage and against god's intentions.

Christ was also sacrificed, that was savage, so was that against God's intentions?

RHETORICAL QUESTION:Why would God spit on the sacrifice of Christ and usher in another temple with the intention of allowing animal sacrifices He said could never atone for sin? Please consider whats being said here of christ.
    Hebrews 10: 9-23
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;21And having an high priest over the house of God;22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)24

Also consider what paul said in Corinthians 6:16; "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; and God hath said, I will dwell in them;and I will be their God and they shall be my people".
I too believed in the third temple teaching for years, but the LORD was very gracious to me and showed me my error. I'm going to post a sermon that freed me from all that. If your interested and can dedicate about an hour to listen, You will see what error I'm referring to.
