No, I'm going to quote Titus and Romans

To the clean all things are clean, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is clean, but both their mind and conscience are defiled. Titus 1:15

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself, except to the one who considers something to be unclean; to that person it is unclean. Romans 14:14

Do not destroy the work of God on account of food. All things are clean, but it is wrong for the person who eats and stumbles in the process. Romans 14:20
This is how we can tell you’re in error:

Porn isn’t clean/pure even if a “pure” Christian considers it pure, so we know that the verse is not being used in the way that you are distorting it and using it.

The Greek word used in Romans 14:14 is koinos which means COMMON, not unclean. You clearly don’t understand the difference, as you have shown you don’t. You should know the difference as you have a Greek username, which would indicate that you at least know how to use a concordance.

Paul is not talking about eating unclean animals in Romans 14 nor did he ever teach that it was okay to eat unclean animals. These are mistakes that the unlearned and unstable make when perverting Paul’s writings

And Jesus. Don't you folks read what Jesus said? Nothing means nothing, including food.

There is nothing outside of a person that is able to defile him by going into him. But the things that go out of a person are the things that defile a person.” Mark 7:15

Oh my goodness, this is hilarious. Do you guys only read the OT?

Do you understand the difference between KOINOS(common) & AKATHARTOS(unclean)?

But the word used in the other verses I quoted means clean. So Paul was just using different words for the same thing. Too bad you couldn't be more honest about that.

Can a Christian partake in beastiality because they consider it pure, since Christians are pure?

Beastiality is not food; it's sexual immorality. However, a person with faith can eat any beast and not be defiled. It's all a matter of faith and conscience.

No my friend only pointing you to the origin of the 10 Commandments spoken by God in Exodus 20:8-11.

There are three versions of the Ten Commandments contained in the Bible (Exodus 34:1-28, Exodus 20:1-17, Deuteronomy 5:1-21). How can all three versions be true if they are not the same? Exodus 34, the oldest version at about 950 BC, is from the pen of the “J” or Jahwist writer and is not one of which many have ever heard. The final commandment in this earliest version reads “You shall not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.” Why, we are led to wonder, was this original set of Ten Commandments rejected or replaced? The second version Exodus 20, from about 850 BC, was from the pen of the “E” or Elohist writer, but was greatly expanded about 560 BC by a group of people called the “P” or priestly writers. Did these writers, who added so much to the entire body of the Jewish Scriptures, do so because they judged the original version to be so woefully inadequate that it required major additions and editing? Does one alter or tamper with what one believes to be “The Word of God?” The third version, Deuteronomy 5 in about 625 BC, was from the pen of the “D” or Deuteronomic writers composed somewhere between the original writing of Exodus 20 and the expansion done on that same text some 400 or so years later. For example, the version in Deuteronomy did not offer as the reason the Sabbath must be observed the fact that God rested on the Sabbath, for the version of that seven day creation story had not yet been written. So this author states that the Sabbath is to be observed because the people of Israel must remember that they were once slaves in Egypt and even slaves must have a day of rest. Which of these versions of the Ten Commandments, we might ask, can qualify as “The Word of God?” Only one of these three actually self identifies as "The Ten Commandments".

But to the pure, all things are pure, remember? Did you already forget the verse you quoted?

According to you, beastiality is pure if a Christian considers it to be pure, so it wouldn’t be sexual immorality to the Christian who deems it as pure.

It says all things, not all behavior. Paul said all objects are clean, not all behavior is clean.

No, not according to me ... according to you because you are choosing to equivocate with the word things by conflating behavior with objects. Very dishonest.

How am I changing my tune? I'm clarifying what I believe Paul's position is because you conflated things with behavior. Now you're trying to hide under a rock.

You’re changing your tune by not sticking by your false doctrine when confronted with it and then hiding under a rock and saying “that’s not what Paul/I meant”

This is typical behavior of people that promote lawlessness in the body of Christ.

What was the false doctrine that I was promoting that I later changed? I posted what Paul wrote, then corrected your error that things could refer to behavior. Paul would never say that all behavior is clean.

I know this is a long thread and someone may have already answered this, but where does it say we are to keep Saturday as Sabbath? The 7th day of the week has been called various things in history and in different cultures. Our current english calendar appears to start the week with Sunday as the first day but our culture, (I can only speak to NA and some European, Australia and NZ), consider M-F the workweek, Saturday and Sunday are considered the weekend, with Sunday being the last day of the week. Just do a simple survey, ask people on the street, or I guess the new way is FB, what day is the first day of the week, I would bet most people would say Monday. My point is today Sunday is considered the last day of the week.

Why are you judging, initiating a confrontational discussion, regarding a day of worship? Do you so perfectly keep the rest of the law that you feel qualified to judge? I suggest a better use of your obvious knowledge would be to use it to lift, encourage, exhort, evangelize others rather than tearing down because others worship the same God, have the same Jesus as Savior but go to church on a different day.

Col 2:16 Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.
1 Cor 8:1 Knowledge puffs up but love edifies. Are you edifing?
1 Cor 10:23 all things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful Apparently if I worship God on Sunday it is quite lawful.
Col 3:17 and whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. if I worship God on Sunday, in the name of the Lord Jesus-giving thanks to God, how is this wrong?

Ok friends time for me to rest (late my time),

It is important to believe all of God's Word because that is where life to the believer comes from (Matthew 4:4). It will be the Word of God that will judge us in the last days (John 12:47-48). Salvation is from sin and not in sin. If your faith leads to a life of known unrepentant sin you have not been born again and do not know Jesus and do not have the faith of God’s Word (James 2:20).

It seems you are condemning a lot of people for not keeping the sabbath to hell?
Making SDA and christians who follow the sabbath the only true church, are you sure about that?
You are sending to hell a lot of sincere even filled with the holy spirit christians...

Again when you are filled with the Holy spirit he does not leave you because you do not keep the sabbath, however if you commit sin continually he does he is very sensitive.

Just a thought: a person who only knows the NT and does not care for the OT can be saved perfectly.

Hi teagranny,

So nice to meet you. Your very welcome here and thanks for adding your thoughts.
I know this is a long thread and someone may have already answered this, but where does it say we are to keep Saturday as Sabbath?
Good question. The Sabbath commandment is the 4th Commandment of God's 10 Commandments. It is found in Exodus 20:8-11 along with all the other 10 Commandments that were spoken and written by God himself (Exodus 20:1-17). It is the 10 commandments that give us a KNOWLEDGE of what sin is (Romans 3:20; 7:7; James 2:8-11; 1 John 3:4)
Like your saying it depends what country your in and what calander your following but God's WORD makes it very clear that it is the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK that is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God (Exodus 20:8-11; Genesis 2:1-3). The EU calander is a recent calander change to put Sunday as the seventh day of the week but this is not biblical. In most places around the world Saturday is the SEVENTH day of the week. This being said however God's time according to the bible in Genesis 1 is that an of evening and morning making a day. This means that God's Sabbath started from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
Why do you think it is judging and conforntational discussion by asking the question in this OP? Where in God's WORD does it say God's 4th commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? If we KNOWINGLY break any of God's commandments God's WORD says we commit sin (James 2:8-11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). No one who continues in KNOWN unrepentant sin will enter into God's Kingdom (Hebrews 10:26-27; Hebrews 6:4-8; 1 John 3:3-9; 1 John 2:3-4). Sharing God's Word is not juding another. It is God's WORD and we should believe and follow it. If you feel convicted by the Word of God then praise God. Jesus is calling you to have a closer walk with him. If you hear his voice do not hearden your heart. Be like the faithful Bareans and see if these things are so.
Col 2:16 Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.
The CONTEXT of Colossians 2 is discussing the laws in "ORDINANCES" from the MOSAIC BOOK of the Covenant. This is not talking about the 10 commandments as being a shadow. Also the topic of discussion in v16 is not Sabbath vs Sunday as it was never an issues during this time period. v11 is talking about the shadow law of CIRCUMCISION moving into v14 Blotting out the hand writting in "ORDINANCES" (GREEK here is "dogma" meaning is civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws) v16 is talking about the Jewish annual festivals and "special Sabbath" connected to Leviticus 23 which were NOT God's 4th commandment. These "special Sabbath" were all attached some of the annual festivals under the OLD COVENANT and unlike God's 4th Commandment could fall on ANY day of the week depending on the yearly cycle.

SCRIPTURE SUPPORT HERE CLICK ME.

1 Cor 8:1 Knowledge puffs up but love edifies. Are you edifing?

Of course we should point all to the Word of God. Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it over the teachings or men that break the commandments of God.
All who continue in KNOWN unrepentant sin will not enter into God's kingdom.

1 Cor 10:23 all things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. Apparently if I worship God on Sunday it is quite lawful.

If you are a murderer is it lawful for you to go out and murder? God's WORD says if we break any of God's Commandments we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-11). Those who continue in KNOWN unrepentant sin will not enter into God's Kingdom (Hebrews 10:26-27; Hebrews 6:4-8; 1 John 3:3-9; 1 John 2:3-4)

REVELATION 22:14-15 [14], Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. [15], For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
Col 3:17 and whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. If I worship God on Sunday, in the name of the Lord Jesus-giving thanks to God, how is this wrong?
Great question. We should worship God everyday of the week. However God has set aside a specific day for his people to be a HOLY DAY that no work is to be done. It is a day dedicated to God for his people as a memorial of creation showing that we worship the only true God of that created all things by the power of his Word.

4th COMMANDMENT OF THE 10 COMMANDMENTS.

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day) [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

Where is all of God's WORD does it say God's 4th Commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

................

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)
Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hi Jack nice to see you again, some comments provided below for your consideration.

You may need to re-read the scriptures you quoted here Jack. Exodus 20:1-17 is the first chronological order of God speaking the 10 Commandments to his people. All the scriptures are in perfect harmony and chronological order of events.

EXODUS 20:1:17; was GOD SPEAKING to his people the 10 Commandments

EXODUS 32:1-19; After Moses went up the mountain to speak with God he was given the same 10 Commandments written by God himself on two tables of stone. Moses was told by God that the children of ISRAEL were making idols. When Moses came down the mountain when he saw what they were doing, he broke the two tables of stone (10 Commandments in his anger v19).

Exodus 34:1:28 [v1] is the remaking of the broken 10 Commandments that were previously written on stone and broken by Moses when he came down the first time when the children of ISRAEL made the moulten calf idol and broke the 10 Commandment written by God on two tables of stone (Exodus 32:1-19). Exodus 34:1:28, shows the remaking of the 10 Commandments and the feast days being a part of the OLD COVENANT.

DEUTERONOMY 5:1-21; is MOSES SPEAKING to God's people the 10 Commandments from the BOOK of the COVENANT (Exodus 24:7) after all the earlier events listed above. God continues teaching Moses what else was to be required v31. Now look at v5 I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for you were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mounthere. v5 is a reference back to EXODUS 20:1-17.

Weather commentators agree or disagree as to how old each of the writings are is irrelavant. It is the chronological order of events that is important and what happens in each order of event spoken about that is important.

What you are getting mixed up here is God's 10 Commandments written on the two tables of stone and spoken by God in Exodus 20:1-17 with the Moses speaking them and the ceremonial laws from the Mosaic BOOK of the COVENANT that included all the civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws in "ORDINANCES". It is much of the latter laws in ORDIANCES for remission of sin that were the shadows fulfilled in Christ. while the 10 commandments spoken and written by God (Exodus 20:1-17) is the eternal law of God that goves us a KNOWLEDGE of what sin is.

If you would like a more detailed scripture study on this CLICK HERE.

Hope this helps.

It seems you are condemning a lot of people for not keeping the sabbath to hell?
Really? How so? Why do you feel that asking a questions that say, where in the all of God's WORD is the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

God's 4th commandment is one of the 10 Commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is if broken (Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; James 2:8-11)

It is God's WORD not mine that says all who continue in KNOWN unrepentant sin will not enter into God's Kingdom not me (Hebrews 10:26-27; Hebrews 6:4-8; 1 John 3:3-9; 1 John 2:3-4)

It is God's word not mine that says if we break God's commandments by following man made traditions we are not following God. Let's look at the scriptures and be honest..

MATTHEW 15:3-9
[3], But he answered and said unto them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
[4], For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.
[5], But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift devoted to God, whatsoever you might have received from me;
[6], And honors not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God void by your tradition.
[7], You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
[8], These people draw near unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
[9], But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

All of the above is God's WORD not mine. I believe God has his people in every Church. I also believe he is calling all of us to worship him in Spirit and in truth accorinding to his WORD. Where is all of God's WORD does it say God's 4th Commandment is abolsihed and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

God's sheep hear his voice (the Word)

Really?

[5], But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift devoted to God, whatsoever you might have received from me;
[6], And honors not his father or his mother, he shall be free.

I alao but he is calling all of us to worship him in Spirit and in truth accorinding to his WORD.

But you are definitely saying if you don't keep the sabbath you are going to hell. Suggesting all other denomination pastors and congregations are totally false religions that God can't support.
The bible mentions that sabbath is something we do not necesarily need to follow in christian faith, you interpret it that it is other sabbaths not the weekly one. I take the more clear interpretation.
Don't compare keeping the sabbath as the same as lying, murder or sexual sin because that is not correct and a lot of people would have realized that by now.
But i guess you are deep in your belief so the only thing i can tell is that the Holy spirit is not offended for you not keeping the sabbath because the Holy spirit is being gived to christians who not do it and they don't loose Him because of that.
