Here's my view on God and time. I don't believe there is a reference to time with God for several reasons. Being Omnipresent; everywhere at once, includes time also.

He is without beginning and end. Where man will be immortal one day, God is eternal always.

This is the easiest example I can think of. If you stop at a railroad crossing and watch the train, the most you can see is a couple cars at a time. The closer you get, the narrower your field of vision becomes and the more blurred the picture is.

If you sit on a mountain a mile away, you can see the whole train, from beginning to end.

I believe it's that way with God's view of time. He can see the beginning from the end, because He is everywhere at once. When God speaks of the future, He is describing something He is currently seeing.

Does that make sense?

Works for me Brother! :D

The way it was explained to me is like God is outside time, looking on .
He can see the the begining and end at the same time.
He sees our whole lives and when we pray for something He can just slot it in as required, eg. a vision or revelation of Himself.

Not sure if I explained it well

whatfor, that is good enough. It's hard to imagine infinity with our finite minds. God existed before time was created, so how He'd be then bound to time, when he was infinitely before and infinitely behind it is something that is hard to grab a hold of. Our minds don't understand infinite things. For instance, if I was to tell you that .9 repeating infinitely equals one will you believe me?

Here is a slight proof for it, as it really does. 1/3 as a fraction equals what? .3... 2/3 as a fraction equals .6... .3...+.6... equals .9... whereas 1/3+2/3 equals .9... or 1.

Again overly simplistic but when you get into infinite things, the brain has a hard time coming to grips with it, even if it can be proven.

For the math people who still want to try, x=.9... which I say equals 1. Take 10x and subtract 1x then work out what x is.
