God has said in the Quran:

aqwas-ys.jpg
Or (the unbelievers’ state) is like the darkness in a deep sea. It is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds. Darknesses, one above another. If a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it....
aqwas-ym.jpg
(Quran, 24:40)

This verse mentions the darkness found in deep seas and oceans, where if a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it. The darkness in deep seas and oceans is found around a depth of 200 meters and below. At this depth, there is almost no light (see figure 15). Below a depth of 1000 meters there is no light at all.1 Human beings are not able to dive more than forty meters without the aid of submarines or special equipment. Human beings cannot survive unaided in the deep dark part of the oceans, such as at a depth of 200 meters.
ch1-1-f-img1.jpg
Figure 15: Between 3 and 30 percent of the sunlight is reflected at the sea surface. Then almost all of the seven colors of the light spectrum are absorbed one after another in the first 200 meters, except the blue light. (Oceans, Elder and Pernetta, p. 27.)
Scientists have recently discovered this darkness by means of special equipment and submarines that have enabled them to dive into the depths of the oceans.
We can also understand from the following sentences in the previous verse, “...in a deep sea. It is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds....”, that the deep waters of seas and oceans are covered by waves, and above these waves are other waves. It is clear that the second set of waves are the surface waves that we see, because the verse mentions that above the second waves there are clouds. But what about the first waves? Scientists have recently discovered that there are internal waves which “occur on density interfaces between layers of different densities.”2 (see figure 16).
ch1-1-f-img2.jpg
Figure 16: Internal waves at interface between two layers of water of different densities. One is dense (the lower one), the other one is less dense (the upper one). (Oceanography, Gross, p. 204.)
The internal waves cover the deep waters of seas and oceans because the deep waters have a higher density than the waters above them. Internal waves act like surface waves. They can also break, just like surface waves. Internal waves cannot be seen by the human eye, but they can be detected by studying temperature or salinity changes at a given location.3

Really all it takes is a little observation and some common sense to figure out that it would be dark in very deep water. Even just a few meters deep the amount of light is reduced, logically it would continue to decrease in deeper water until at some point it becomes total darkness.

Elwill, we all know about the "miracles" of the Qu'ran.. How it says the word day 365 times, and month 12 times, and days 30 times, and how it says man/woman the same amount of times, and this world/hereafter, and salat 5 times, and sabbath 7.

We all know that last year at Malwid in Pakistan Sheikh al Qudri said he wished he had a marker board to spell the name Muhammad, and "miraculously" in front of 400,000 people, the name was in the sky.
normal_Muhammad28SAW29.jpg

Yeah, and we know that the Qu'ran mentions embryology, and the other things.

We also know
That the Qu'ran denies evolution, a belief supported by the vast majority of scientists with lots of evidence for it.

That Islam teaches that a flood happened and wiped out the people of Nuh.

That the Qu'ran teaches that Jews were turned into pigs.

That the Qu'ran teaches that Yunus was in a fish for 3 days.

That the Sunnah teaches that women are deficient in intelligence then men, and this is affirmed by Al Albani as being a Sahih hadith with a strong transmission of narration.

I don't care if the Qu'ran flipping predicted 9/11, because you know what? It denies evolution, which is enough for me to say that it is not from God! You can have 1 billion accurate statements, and then 1 wrong statement. That one wrong statement though is enough to make the book not perfect.the word of God should be perfect, with no errors.

Sorry, but I am not convinced by your religion!

What ridicules nonsense; take a short boat ride out into any sea and you will soon lose sight of the sea floor.

Think of this for a while, and then draw a conclusion.

The deep is to dark to see the bottom.

Now where do you suppose Muhammad got this?

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

can y plz describe for me the scientific theory i spoke about with this verse

because i don't see any relation at all

Biblical genealogies which form the basis of the Jewish calendar and assert that today the world is 5738 years old, these are hardly admissible either. Our solar system may well be four and a quarter billion years old, and the appearance of human beings on earth, as we know him today, may be estimated in tens of thousands of years, if not more.

so , try to think again about ur bible

Really; Mohamed never saw the sea, how do you know and even if he did not see the sea there were plenty of Arab sailors in his day. I am sure that knowledge of the sea and its most basic properties were well known.

Sorry, but I have to ask this; how well do you considerer your English language.

Even if Muhammad never saw the sea (doubtful since at least one of his campaigns took him along the shore), the suggestion that an Arabian merchant wouldn't have known that there is no light at a certain deep is ridiculous. You don't even need to dive, just look down into the water. What do you see? Darkness. Mystery solved.

Edit: Lo and behold what Wikipedia tells us:

Wikipedia said:
Little is known of Muhammad during his youth, and from the fragmentary information that is available, it is hard to separate history from legend.[54] It is known that he became a merchant and "was involved in trade between the Indian ocean and the Mediterranean Sea."[55

are you interrest in science and universe , and think that all of this by coincidence !!!!

Chance, nothing but chance.

Think of the chance of you being conceived; millions of sperms all fighting to fertilise one egg, which became you. Multiply that by the millions of generations it as taken to get to you.

Or are you saying your god gives the wining sperm a helping hand?

Just because you have trouble dealing with such chance, you invoke a mystical deity.
