  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OK, I'm going with a small group of powerhouses:

Iban
Querrot final form (from the future - practically a cyborg)
Keleinestwif (four-armed rune mage, armed with rune-covered staffs)
Argusandra (able to reflect attacks)

Woops! Ok, well, my group(hard, just in case): Aries(character), 5 expert assassins, 2 body gaurds of Aries(kinda like the Ra'zac in Eragon and Eldest except with a bit less power; ex. they can't blow up a house silently), 30 Uruks(like the Kull in Eragon once again), 20 Elite, 50 orcs(regulars), 25 archers, one oliphant with Aries and his bodygaurds on it with some elite archers;20, one lesser Dragon, capable of breathing fire but not for a long period.

They might be a bit too powerful, put together :sorry:

Iban can destroy the world if he gets frustrated...

What I meant was, about how much can those mages do at a time? A pyromancer can mean anything from burning hands to a volcano, while a necromancer mught raise dead dragons and shoot death rays - or he might just summon thousands of human zombies.

^That is what I am talking about - a bit god-moddish, doncha think? That's why we should limit it to energy. Example: shoot an arrow and it flies on mile. You will be tired from pulling the string back and everything, right? Well, if we limited it to enerygy and you shot it with magic, it would take the same amount of enerygy. Savvy? And I don't appeal to the destroying the whole worl thing either :p

OK, Iban won't destroy the world. We just have to kill him with an energy or magic attack when he isn't touching the ground.

I agree than Narmegil's group should go first. However, I don't see any point in making an effort to avoid the evil characters' godmoding. The good characters have the advantage of biased authors. :p

Yup, we sure can kill the whole underworld, eh? Right. Easy: and Elf, another one that can use magic, a dude that is mending his armour, a boy, another person(txeagle), Siela's character although she hasn't posted in awhile, and anyone else I missed.. They have to die sometime. Elves cannot die from old age, but they can be pained from it. Oromis, from Eldest.

Querrot can make himself younger, so no age limit there. Although I do have a limit of about a thousand years because I have an evil Querrot coming from the future...

It might help to pick up the Whipmaster's magic-negating blade. We could have the characters grow stronger as the story progresses.
However, I think it's time to start thinking about the end. What are we really fighting, and how do we end the rush of evil? Perhaps some hidden evil temple needs to be smashed up?

But then he would have to rest, right? :D

I agree with that, that is the way life goes.. Start out crawling, end in running over 100mph

The evil could be the source of an old relic. Or maybe more then two, maybe three or more, so we can keep the story going, like this relic is where we are going now and after we destroy it something could hint that the other relic is in the middle of the land and the next is in the mountains somewhere..

Sounds good. Let's put the first attack in the middle of the night - just shock troops at first, so we have time to wake up, then the dragons show up. The second attack in the pass... and the others after reaching our armies? Perhaps for number 3 we could even save our armies by attacking the enemy from the rear.

Oh, and who wants to pick up the whipmaster's sword?
