Hi y'all, I'm a non-Christian who likes (well, liked, before RSI started killing my arm) MMORPGs.

The problem with MMORPGs, in my opinion, is that so many of the other players are total choads. They totally enjoy annoying other people, calling everything that is bad "gay", and get off on ruining someone else's experience.

Is this y'all's experience too? Do you, as Christains, feel compelled to inspire other players toward a more friendly and fun playing atmosphere? I don't usually like hanging around with Christians, but if they (by means of their religion) are, in general, less choady than non-Christians, then I would play with Christians any day of the year.

I hope the word "choad" doesn't offend anyone. I think it's a great word. :)

I find it funny that you are complaining about ppl using ghey (lol) as a negative slang term and then call them "choads". ^_^

I don't know why, but I find gaming chat like that to be absolutely hilarious. It is amazing that someone would get so angry while doing something that's supposed to be fun.

I don't have a problem with people calling someone else "gay" (as it may very well be accurate). I have a problem with people using the word "gay" as a synonym for "bad". So what's so funny about this?

It's funny because it's so childish (using the term as a negative) - the act of people calling each other that is funny, because it's so stupid.

Choad, if I am correct, is slang for sperm, right?

Yes, it usually is funnier when you aren't on the receiving end of the joke.

Oh, wait, this isn't a joke. It's actually replacing negative terms with the term "gay", as if that was the pure embodiement of all things pathetic, stupid, and lame. And that's exactly how it's meant, isn't it?

They are games and people get frustrated when they are not very good at said game and get themselves wiped all over their computer screen by 12 year olds. So they act stupid out of frustration. Not that that's any excuse, but it's what happens.

I don't play MMORPG's but I do like to play on-line team games quite a bit in my spare time. Right now I'm playing Call of Duty and it's a lot of fun and there isn't as much chatter during game play as it's a fast paced game that one bullet can ruin your day. Hehe.

I played team games in Tribes and other games in organized ladders. That is the best way to play on-line games because you get to play the best and they're cool about it in most cases. Sometimes you get immature goobs that cuss you up one side and down the other, but not as often as public servers.

Also if you can find other nice players that know passwords to good servers that keep out the newbies and riff-raff in games you like to play a lot you will have a much better experience as well.

I mostly play online FPS's like Day of Defeat and Battlefield 1942. Two things that I can't stand are:

1) Hackers. Nothing ruins your game like when you're playing against idiots who use cheats like 'aimbot' (one bullet will always = one kill, usually headshot) 'wallhack' (they can see you through walls, the worst hack IMO) and a few others. Stupid.

2) Idiots. "[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] U R SO GAY U NOOB GAYMAN ****!" and other stuff like that. It's worse when they actually have a mic and shoot off on some low I.Q. tangent.
