Using a simple Google search, I found dozens of mainstream media reports (like the Washington Post, BBC, NBC, Fox, Aljazeera, Reuters) about this incident.

Conspiracies are easy to find if you walk around with your eyes closed.

You should have used "Hospital Chief Admits Being Hamas Commander." That story seems to be reported as important by one side. Does it matter? I don't know. Back around the 15th, US intelligence had already determined the hospital was being used as a base with a cache of weapons. Why is that story important to conservative outlets? It feeds a narrative.

More like some people can see through the pro Hamas reporting.

A couple of things stand out.

#1 Snipers have rules.
What would be the point of killing the two women? Were they moving weapons? No. Would it benefit the Israelis position to kill two Christian women at a church? No. Would it benefit Hamas in any way to claim Israeli snipers killed two unarmed Christian women in a church? Yes.

#2 What does anyone think would happen to the only Catholic Church in Gaza if they said anyone other than Israeli snipers killed those women?

The PBS NewsHour, which is my main source for news, has been reporting on the Israeli and Palestinian civilian casualties in this war every single night since the war began. Of course I care. War is evil in general, but this particular war has had a terribly high civilian casualty rate.

As to the OP: Your post began with "Mainstream media ignores event in Gaza where...", so the focus of your post was an accusation against the mainstream media. I responded to that focus in the OP when I replied. If you wanted the discussion to be about the event, instead of about media coverage of the event, your lead sentence should have been worded differently.

many come home completely knackered from all the stress.

How many do you think have the energy to sit down and try to digest what is fed them?

So there was a person who could not sleep, so they got themselves a drink and switched on the TV,
it showed shocking images followed by a request for donations.

The person in the story was taken aback by what they saw and reached out for the telphone to make a donation,

in doing this he/she knocked over their drink onto the new sofa.
