Look...if you're just going to make stuff up, at least try to be consistent. Ok?

You just said that the kingdom of god was within me, now you're saying I've been cast out of it....it's a blatant contradiction. It can't be both.

So which is it? Is the kingdom of god within me or is it somewhere else?
You misunderstand...it is both, and abstract yes, but not a contradiction. The kingdom of God IS within you...but YOU are not within the kingdom, not until or unless you re-enter, by being re-born of the spirit of God.

And you lived 2000 years ago, correct?

I think I see a wonderfully consistent and coherent theme in play here..........

So it is inside of him but he is not inside of it until he goes back into it? When he goes back into it, it will then be inside of him?

Could you do this with a diagram?

The way it was explained to me is this:

Draw two circles, overlapping each other by about 25%.

Label one circle: KINGDOM OF GOD.

Label the other circle: KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Where the two circles overlap, label: EARTH.

This has nothing to do with the point at hand of negative claims.
Frankly, I have no clue why you're bringing any of this into the conversation.

When I said that your comments concerning suicide are absurd, I meant that they are absurd in context of the converstation.

It's like starting to talk about car tires and combustion engines in a conversation about rainbows. Just... absurd.

Coming from you that doesn't surprise me.

Do you have any constructive comments to make?

Hello there everyone. I am sure this has been discussed before but I would like to start a new discussion on this. I want to hear your opinions on why do you think atheism exists and its cause. I will tell mine only after I see yours.
Atheism's cause? "Did God really say?"

What has that to do with what Scott was going on about? There was no mention of Heaven or Earth.

Atheism is a word that describes every person that doesn't believe in a god, that includes babies. It is the starting place of all humans.

Confident and active atheists that assert that god is not or probably is not true exists because one day someone said "yeah.... that's not true... the spirit of the bear isn't real"

I think everyone is an atheist, I just believe in one less god than you do.

Atheism is a spiritual problem, not an intellectual one.

In other words, it stems from the heart, not the brain.

Psalm 14:1a The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

This same bible claims that the human heart is incredibly wicked, even beyond comprehension so all humans would be atheists and atheism would be the starting point of all humans.

But 97% of the academy of sciences are atheist, it seems to be that the fool has said in his heart their must be a god

So the Catholic church regularly baptizes atheists, do they?

If so, is baptism the cure for atheism?

This same bible claims that the human heart is incredibly wicked,
That is correct.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

But not to the point where he can't get saved.

Yes they are christening atheists and no it doesn't change a thing.
You might want to let the Pope in on this.

I'm sure he could use a good chuckle.

Christ is the cure for atheism -- whatever you want to call it.

but yes to the point where the starting point is being wicked and denying god.

Well let me remind you that the bible is the claim, not the evidence.

The Pope believes virgins can have kids and that donkeys can talk to people... he's not very smart. I'm not sure he'd get it. He's also a part of an organization that has sheltered child molesters since forever. I don't trust him.

Irregardless -- God is not going to accept anything an atheist has to offer in his defense as to why he didn't get saved.

So neither am I.

I can assure you there are no atheists in Hell.

As to your point about children being born atheists, John the Baptist leaped in his mother's womb when Mary came to visit Elizabeth.

So that kinda shoots that theory down the drain IMO.
