According to the Bible the land was separated from other land, just from water. That wouldn't create the heat we're talking about.The end part of the change of states? That would mean that friction would produce great heat for example. In the former state, that was noot the case because in creation week we had waters and land separated on the planet without a threat to life from heat.

It means the whole earth was a chaotic wasteland, flooded with water. On the third day the 'dry ground' emerged from the waters.

I doubt there was much if any. Just as I doubt the core is hot as we speak. ALL the reasons to claim that are present state based. The heat we know goes down only so far.
