Just thought I'd come and hang out in th acfe for a while. It's starting to get nasty again over in UT. :sigh:

Yeah, it's getting nasty in a lot of my threads, too. There are quite a few people around I'd like to see removed for idocy.

FYI for those interested. I asked the question in this thread in UT regarding the [OPEN] threads in the CO section. It seems that "nonChristians"TM can only post for fellowship purposes only. The resoning being that even if we want to discuss a belief, it is a slippery slope from discussion to debate.

There's lots of things I'd love to discuss here, however it seems I'm limited to commenting on the coffee.

i wonder tho. technically, you don't have a Christian icon, so according to CF's standards you aren't a Christian.

it'd be a weird rule to allow "non-Christians" in an open thread, but not "unorthodox" Christians wouldnt you think? and either the case, by CF's rules, your icon clearly shows you aren't Christian, so i'd figure, type away, of course, unless i'm missing some microscopic rule that you need a magnifying glass to see when we sign up (sorry for the sarcasm.)

I hate to nitpick but I don't think you can even comment on the coffee as that is another slippery slope... I mean because of your beliefs and all.

hahahahaha, I tickle myself.

I can smell the coffee.

I just can't drink it. ^_^

I think I'll stick to my hot chocolate.

Mmmmm, hot chocolate. Mind if I join ya for a cup? ;)

Would you believe we didn't even have a Starbucks here until a year and a half ago? I honestly don't see what the big deal is. I like Tim Hortons...Mmmm...pastries.

as long as i have my Yuban coffee, i don't miss starbucks or tim hortons :p

i currently live in a really small town and a small county/area to begin with. so the addition to that, would just be ODD for me. i've been to them before in bigger cities and good coffee and good food to say the least.

but Yuban coffee is SOOOOOOOOO GOOD. for me it beats latte's or cappucino's or Maxwell's, or Foldgers, or expresso or what other name coffee can be given (i just hope i don't have go and order coffee flavored coffee...sorry i borrowed that from Dennis Leary's standup.)

plus coffee shops i have to watch. they can LITERALLY kill me. i'm deathly allergic to mixed nuts, and almost had to go to a hospital cause i didn't know a mudslide coffee stick would have nuts in it.

anyone in the need for some green tea, pass by my herbery (is that even the proper word? haha).

i agree toney about how wwmc uses the open tags a lot. the reason why this is the first place i come to here at CF when i load it up (most of the time. if there's a thread on my usercp then sometimes i'll go to that first, but it varies, but WWMC is my favorite forum here at CF.)

Joe,

Over your green tea, you (and others) might find this thread of interest:

Non-trinitarian Messianic Question

It answers a few questions we once discussed by PM.

Toney
would you mind me starting a thread in here for you? meaning there was a part in that you said this:

"You adopt the mystical definition of the trinity rather than the three-persons-in-one Sunday school version."

or maybe you could send the answer via pm to me? i don't understand why you have a non-trinitarian icon now after you said this. so either maybe by a thread, or by pm, could you happen to "unpack" this here a bit more? :)

Joe

Joe,

The mods added [open] to the OP of the two-year old thread, "Truth of the Trinity" and bumped it at my request. It appears on page one of WWMC.

However, I am unable to post to the thread since the [open] tags for some reason did not carry over to the front page title. The problem is being looked into.
