Genesis 3:22-24 22And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
John 6:40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."
John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins."
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Genesis 3:22 (confirmed in Genesis 3:24) says that the LORD God does not want the man to live forever. John 6:40 says that the will of the Father is to give eternal life. John 8:24 says believe in Jesus Christ is a must. John 17:3 says eternal life comes through knowing the only true God.
I am concluding that the LORD God (Genesis 3:22) is differ to the Father that Jesus introduced us to know (John 17:3). Am I wrong?
