The ONLY thing that impresses me about people anymore

Just thought I'd share.

I've known my share of very wealthy people..
I've known my share of very smart people.
I've known my share of very athletic people.
I've known my share of very physically attractive people.
I've known my share of people who had are all these combined into one.

When I was younger. I'd be impressed by an attractive person. A wealthy person. A smart person. An athletic person. I'd even chase after them, maybe a cute girl to date just for her looks.

Not anymore. The older you get the less that impresses you, as you've seen more, and seen how little most of what impresses people matters. In short, people are obsessed with the wrong things.

I am impressed when I'm around someone you can just feel the love they have for their fellow human beings when you're around them. That's all that impresses me anymore. Perhaps the is the "kingdom of God' which Jesus tells us to seek first.

People don't exist to impress me, so I don't put such expectations on others. But when I do witness thefruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, etc) I give honor to God.

I am impressed by unique. Real. So much people go with the flow often and have their opinions based on popular opinions. When some one talks about a idea they personally struggled reaching a conclusion to I can usually tell and it catches my eye.

I am impressed with authentic people. People who have no ulterior motives.

I value transparency most and authenticity is a close second. Those rare souls who can be genuinely be happy for others and lend their support irrespective of their challenges hold a special place in my heart. You don’t encounter them often but when you do you never forget. They have your best in mind always.

We must follow the way of righteousness by walking in total obedience to God in word, deed, and thought. The mystery of godliness is fully revealed in Jesus Christ, who is our pattern and our example of godliness.

The person of God must pursue and manifest godliness by nurturing their spiritual life, in order that our lives to be a reflection of God so others can see God in us.

God says, "Be holy for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16)

Expectations is the #2 destroyer of marriages. (#1 is financial difficulties)
