False ! The state of this economy has been years in the making. This is the problem Trump was elected to fix. Both previous republicans and democrats have to share blame for the current mess this economy is in. Blaming Trump alone for current economic conditions in the short time he had been in office is uninformed propaganda.
All the fault of liberals who interfered with the hard work of corporate leaders to raise the GINI coefficient.

Yes both parties have gotten us here. But this bill makes it even worse.

Yet we were told the Rs are the party of fiscal responsibility. Its one of the rationales many people relied on right here to explain their votes for the current president. This bill is exactly what I expected: Trump and his R congress will keep the party going and hopefully kick the cocaine hangover down the road.

Oh, those people. OK.
Yes, absolutely “those” people!

This bill is what the American people voted for . That should be considered democracy in action even by liberals many of whom constantly misuse the term. What has the D party done to cut waste fraud and abuse of taxpayer money?

I would have to agree with this. Even though they told us right here how our fiscal situation is grinding toward crisis with every year, in the back of their minds they knew the R's would fail to address the problem.

So yes, those who voted for this are getting what they voted for.

I already did . See post #84
Not specific enough. Who is an "illegal" is obviously not a settled question, and who is "refusing to work" rather than just being unemployed or underemployed is not a settled question either.

This is just one more example of why liberalism is a failed ideology. An illegal in this context is anyone who entered our country illegally. I really shouldn’t have to explain what that means. If you can’t tell the difference between a dead beat who refuses to try and help themselves and one who is truly in need of help I am sure someone working for Medicaid can figure that out.

Which is circular logic, not a definition. Some people say asylum seekers and refugees are here illegally. Others do not.

I dare say you think you can. How do you know they have "refused to try?"

Liberal propaganda.
Gee. Didn't know "liberal propaganda" could be measured in dollars and cents. $3.8 trillion of them.
Tell that to the bond rating services and they'll laugh you out of the room.

I didn't say it spiked. I said it got better. Also, before the pandemic, we had very low unemployment numbers and we had real wage growth above inflation. Also, that graph clearly shows the seasonal changes in employment rates.
It clearly did not get better. What it shows is there were no increase of jobs from the 2107 Trump Tax Cut No Jobs act.
Corps did not use that money to hire more people. It used that money to buy back stocks.

GOP Lawmaker Who Owns a Gun Shop Takes Credit for Silencer Tax Breaks

Republicans narrowly passed Donald Trump’s sweeping budget reconciliation bill through the House Wednesday night, including a last-minute provision that would not require gun owners to register the purchase of silencers.
Georgia Representative Andrew Clyde had already ensured the elimination of a $200 transfer tax on gun silencers. But during negotiations Wednesday, he was able to add another provision altogether removing silencers from the regulatory purview of the National Firearms Act, which imposes taxes on the manufacture, distribution, and import of weapons, according to Politico.
The last-minute addition would strike another $200 tax on the manufacture of gun silencers. But by removing silencers from the purview of the National Firearms Act, lawmakers said that the change also had eliminated the NFA’s registration requirement with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.

It was your characterization that is liberal propaganda. Tell us did you use the same kind of rhetoric when Biden sighed the trillion dollar green new deal monstrosity?

Liberal confusing double speak. We all know what happened at the border under Biden.

The same way unemployment verifies if recipients are actually looking for work.

What "Green New Deal" did Biden sign into law?
