If you are nuts about Oblivon, say YEA!

If you have more than 20 mods installed on your game, say YEA!

If you have either/both of the expansion packs Shivering Isles and/or Knights of the Nine, say YEA!

Give an overview of your current character (level, factions, etc) and LETS START TALKING!

Well, my gaming time is very limited but I alternate between Oblivion and Titan Quest. I don't have KotN or SI yet but I plan to get both. My current character is a khajiit pathfinder. It's a custom class, I can't remember his stats offhand but he is a blade/marksman stealther with good security skills. He is a member of the Blades and is a lot of fun to play. Awesome game.

I enjoyed Oblivion. I think they could have made it a much deeper game than they did and much more immersive as well.

The newest expansion was terrible in my opinion. I think they need to drop Oblivion and start working on Elder Scrolls V, which I have heard they are beginning to develop. And word on the street is that it's possibly an MMO. :D

My guy is a Dark Elf, kind of a sneaky warrior guy. Right now he has Morag Tong armor, with the Dragonsword of Lainlyn (sp?) and the Escutcheon (sp?) of Chorral.

I'm exploring the Shivering Isles. And why do these names have to be so hard to spell? >_<

It is, that it is :) i have a tiny huge obsession with Oblivion, so I don't play any other games. marksman is GOOD! I'm primarily a marksman. Mage after that. my blade skill really is bad.

If you had to get one or the other expansion packs first, get SI. I've just completed it for the second time! Its the more.... interactive, time taking, NEW one.

*Leaps for joy* IT IS, I DARN WELL HOPE!!!!!!! We have 2 computers poised ready to be hooked up, so my hubby and me can play AT THE SAME TIME!
they have done their last official release for Oblivion. I'm sad to say, ES V is a long way off. their now focusing their attention on another game, before they do V. But they ARE doing V. I may be wrong, ut hubby and I did a search for release dates, etc and the Official Bethesda website confirmed that the next ES was a way off.

(which expansion came first? I bought both at the same time)

lol he sounds groovy! The names are completely made up, and if I think too hard about it, I forget how to spell Cyrodiil. Leyawiin is a tough one too ;)
I have never heard of those weapons... but all the weapons I use are modded. I'll put in a link to my DeviantART page, which holds various different screenshots of my game. More will someday go in - I am hoping to make a "Best shots of Oblivion" Gallery - just to prove I have too much time on my hands.

We finished the SI yesterday! I slept through the ending bit, but hubby told m it took a total of 2 arrows to kill Jyggalug.

needless to say, not much of a challenge.

EDIT: the link I promised! http://icedragontamer.deviantart.com/

Ok, my turn!

my character's bio:
Name: Kyblet
Race:Tabaxi
Level: 22 (I think)
Factions - Madgod in SI, Listener in DB, Apprentce in mage's Guild.

She has BABs body shape, and she wears BAB clothing. At the moment she's wearing a short black dress, knee high black boots, and some hand chain things that look cool....
Ren's beauty pack, complete with elaborate eyes, etc etc

her weapon is kfchromeelfbow (or something akin to) which does about 130 damager PER SHOT. i use Blueglass arrows.

She has 2 companions (one main one); a female Adoring Fan, and Neeshka. i called my new kitten Neeska after the comapnion ;)

about 1/2 the map has been explored - in the last game I did, I had the whole map explored. My favourite place n the WORLD to be is Aranmathi - search TesNex for it. Its an ayelid home, retextured to make it look BRAND NEW!

Her primary skill is Marksman (I'm a wimp, ok?!), with SOME mage. the mod that adds Blueglass arrows is dirty, so I can search a particular type of barrel anywhere in Cyrodiil and find them.

Um. Thats it, really. I'll upload a screenshot of Kyblet :)

Indeed! i haven't played Morrowind, but perhaps I should......

I don't know if I could go back to it or not. Fast travel really has me spoiled in Oblivion. I may pick up the GOTY edition though since it's only $20.

I haven't played it due to time restraints but I clocked in about 55 hours so far. I play a male Argonian named Embargonian. I created a custom class that's a thief and warrior hybrid who knows destruction magic. I'm level 26 I believe. I'm the head of the Thieves Guild, the top person at the arena, moving up in the fighters guild, beginning the mages guild, and I did the first quest of the Dark Brotherhood.

Where did you get the subtitle for ES V?

And the "word on the street" about it being an MMO is probably dead wrong. Multiplayer considerations for Oblivion took about 5 minutes, and mostly involved the committee saying "do we want this?" and everybody replying "no." Elder Scrolls has always been about the best single-player experience on the market (almost a direct quote from developers).

The other game they are working on now is Fallout 3, I believe.

My current character (xbox 360, bleh, cause my computer is older) is a female (yeah, whatever) Dark Elf, about level 23 now, with Blade, Light Armor, Sneak, Security, Acrobatics, Destruction, and Marksman as major skills. She is currently in full glass armor with the Rings of Lordship and Namira for open combat, and daedric longsword and bow. Stealth gear is a Ring of Sneak, Ring of Khajiiti, the Black Hand robe, and the Cowl of Nocturnal (her Sneak goes up to 154 at this point).

Wow I haven't played Oblivion in a while but I loved it. I feel like I'm the only one on the forum with a mage character. I had a Breton mage/fighter with the mage birthsign majoring in destruction, restoration, blade, light armor, repair (forgot what that's called), and something else, I think something useless like speechcraft so I didn't level too fast. The cool thing to do is to crank up your minor skills each level so you get 5 attribute points per level. I maxed my conjuration and alteration that way and I think I maxed my destruction at some point too but that's a primary. My blunt isn't so bad either so I get more strength. I love how casters regen spellpoints in oblivion it's so much nicer than morrowind but I found a mod for morrowind that allows that so I just played with that the second time through. One cool thing I did have was I enchanted all my glass armor to have +9 points to willpower (You can use ashara's star too as a gem when you get high enough and summon Those aligator daedra, was it a dremora? and soultrap them). My willpower was like 156 or so, I regened spellpoints like no one's business :) I also had an enchanted daedric longsword with lifesteal on it that worked great when I got in a tough fight.

Did anyone play Daggerfall? I liked how you could mix and match your special ablities/disabilites and that directly affected how much xp it took to level. My favorite one was spell absorbtion then a cool move would be to cast a fireball at point blank at a creature and you'd absorb the spellpoints from your own fireball so you could just chain cast and drop anything.

I was actually very happy they decided against going MMO. It seems that is the route too many games are going now days and they don't have the funding or ideas to make a truly great game and have, for the most part, been complete disappointments. The only game I've ever played with depth was Ultima Online, and I have great hopes for Darkfall as it seems to be a much deeper game than even UO was. Crossing fingers...

I've moved on from Oblivion. *shrugs* Waiting for the next installment.

Elder Scrolls V: Shadow Realm won't be out till 2010 though :(
2010?!?! HOW DID YOU FIND OUT?!

Dave wants to sign up to be a tester of it...

Our character is a Tabaxi female, level... oh, I don't remember.... head of Dark Brotherhood, going through the thieves guild quests now.

Her main skill is Marksman
