The Occupation Suitable for One of Autism or AS

Until now I haven't a regular job.I want to be a thinker (theology , philosophy) ,but no payment. Around me is a hard and complex surrounding. What kind of job do you want to get?and suitable for you indeed?Or better you are doing well------

Everyone is different. Just because you may be on the Autistic Spectrum doesn't mean you are more limited in doing well in a particular field you enjoy. In fact most people on the spectrum do better in a field they enjoy than someone who is not on the spetrum in a field they enjoy. We get so focused and put our whole body, mind, and soul into the things that interest us. I really think the key to doing well for anyone (but especially for those on the spectrum) is to find something in your area of interest...and let your focus and drive get you there.

For me I am still searching. I currently work at a job I hate. But I manage to keep my head above water for the moment. As soon as I can get more financially stable I will be able to take a cut in pay and pursue a position in one of my areas of interests...which I still haven't narrowed down. My favorite jobs that I have had in the past has been Nature Counselor at a Christian Camp...and Weekend Attendant at a science Center. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with kids but now because of some past situations have become rather insecure about it. I love developing environmental education programs, photography, graphics art, and designing exhibits for sicence and nature centers. So I will probably end up combining one or more of these interests when it comes time for me to pursue this.

Tad. I can understand you don' t like your recent job, I also didn't like my major before. But everything has relationship with our faith. Be patient, so we will know the good will of Lord (which maybe tastes bitter). He knows what we are interested in and what we really need, and would bring us in the Face of Him to know Him more clearly.

This is going to hopefully put some encouragement into your situation. I had trouble with jobs but I was blessed with where I worked at. I worked for an arenafootball team, college athletics, juvenile justice. Right now I currently substitute teach and work at a Lifeway Christian Bookstore I have been called to teach but I do not know where or what type of classroom whether it be special ed or gen ed. I hope to coach as well (preferably weightlifting or football).

Building or creating maybe...that's what I'm thinkin here. Ya know..with leggos. Oh wait though,ya can't build a house of leggos but my son sure makes some cool designs. If he applied those structures on paper,it would be awesome.
