I don't suppose it suddenly gets strong after a couple thousand. The Bible, for whatever reason, is immune to the above criticism, I take it?

Yeah...it is smart aleck :p

The Constitution was written and inspired by *men*

The Bible was inspired by G-d...

apples n oranges darlin' :) (as you already knew I'd reply LOL)

What is the general attitude that our society has towards these issues? As far as I know, our society at large couldn't care less about the occult, so saying that it's spreading it or encouraging in is a bit of an odd statement.

<<sticks foot in>>

I think he means the predominance of occult promoting entertainment and the casual attitudes towards pagan influence...

TV has Charmed and I'm sure others that focus on "witches" "demons" "warlocks" magiks etc
Magazines adn Comics have witches etc as heroes/villians these days
Games Ouija, tarot, etc
Meditation with it's influences of buddhism, taoism, yoga etc "relaxation " etc
it all kinda blends together adn is watered down, but in the end each of these leads to a humanistic idea that the power is within ourselves...not in Y'shua Messiah...

at least I think that's what JNEWMAN means on this???

The Bible was written by men.

The Constitution was written by men.

The Bible claims to be inspired by God.

The Constitution does not claim to be inspired by God, but who is to say it wasn't?

The only difference between the two is that one is audacious enough to claim to be divinely inspired.

Part of doing hte best by your family is preparing your children to stand strong in a world of evil. If you shelter them and keep them in a bubble they will leave the haven of home and crumbled under the onslaught of secularism...not matter what form it takes.

So you prepare them...and teach them to make their homes a haven from the evil of the world when they're gone from the nest.

You want to legislate morality? ... so much for the Republic of the USA....you apparently prefer a theocracy with all it's legalistic limitations...how then would we be any better than say....Afghanistan under the Taliban?
I'm saying the church should be banded together with a strong voice and we should re-educate this country regarding the perils of turning away from morality and we should cry out to God with a strong voice that our hearts might turn back to Him. So that our streets might not some day in the near future run red with blood because we decided not do our job and warn one another of the certain destruction that will fall upon us as a nation if we do not repent.

Our streets already run red with blood. Repentance has it's place, but Pharaoh and the ancient Egyptians had hardened hearts much the same as our nation does when Moses came to them and told them all their firstborn would die if they didn't cease oppressing the Hebrew people. We serve testimony, we're the messengers. If we have the way, we need not block it, but we can't force people into it.

I agree that we should band together in prayer for our country...especially it's youth.....

but as the old saying goes...you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink...

free will...G-d set each on their path...they're the ones who need to choose to serve Him, or mammon...

Sometimes there is no ease way of putting things in a nice way,but loving on them is saying the truth.Letting God work on the rest of the heart issues.Like identifying sin. Our inequity's being shown to us can create hostility's. Not that we should respond to it ,but there is some dilling with emotional aspects of the improper behaviors and agitation that comes with discussion's.We can't worry about pleasing them and being total sympathetic were it isn't warranted. and we worry to much about there feelings. To the point of not telling them truth.

But where is our voice? Where is our presence? It's seems we don't have a united front anymore... divided we fall

Our voice is an ongoing string of ministers in public view sinning and giving Y'shua's name a bad flavor to those who don't believe...

Our voice is the ongoing hypocrisy of saying G-d is love, and then treating others with disdain

Our voice is the hungry crying child of a scorned unwed mother

How do we expect to have a voice to represent G-dly morals...when we the body haven't the courage or morals to act in a G-dly fashion?
