Returning to Heroes of Might and Magic 2, and really surprised to find out that the German lyrics in the music are (mainly) Biblical quotes.
For example, this:

this:

is Psalms 14:1
and this:
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 Price of Loyalty/Gold: Barbarian Town Theme (Fully Animated) - YouTube
is 1 Corinthians 15:54-55.
The choice seemed to be to use famous German quotes (there is a Nietzsche quote in one song for instance) but most are from the Bible. I had no idea playing this game as a child!
