You mean he has repented of being a Nazi, hiding and promoting a sexual pervert, and condemning justice of sexual perverts? Well I never heard of a pope repenting but I guess there's always a first, it sure is a lot of baggage to be carrying though even for a pope, don't you think?

By the way this is just what we know, I wonder what we don't know?

So as asked before; where is the proof. I want to see the evidence. Otherwise, I would suggest you might want to knock it off. And no I am not a supporter of RCC.

I guess this rule must just get thrown out when it comes to Semper-Reformanda-Reformed. Gees, I dont go into OBOB and start disagreeing - should I? And I noticed it is just not this thread but every thread that RCC is brought up in.

2) Reformed/Calvinist, as well as all members of the Congregational Forums can post fellowship threads here. Only Reformed/Calvinist members are allowed to debate threads to discuss various doctrines to do with their own denomination and other denominations as long as they are within our rules.

Ok, if pictures are what you want....there is a picture of the pope in a Nazi uniform at yahoo.com news.

Have you read this post? http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?p=15008667&postcount=16

I do believe he was forced into the military like everybody else.

But would you please prove - He is currently involved in covering up a high level priest accused in a sexual scandal, was critical of the American press coverage of the Roman Catholic priests sexual scandals,..., and believes you can only go to heaven if you're a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Sure, we'll just take them one at a time. But I don't know if I can give you anymore pictures for the rest, well that be ok?

Serving in the German military in WWII did not make someone a Nazi. Ratzinger served in the Air Force, and then the regular Army, which he deserted from. You could not be a member of the Nazi party and in the regular Army or Air Force. The SS units were reserved for Nazis. The German military did not want the Nazi party to have too much control over the military. Ratzinger could not have been a member of the Nazi political party and a soldier in the Air Force or regular Army.

The German military did not want the Nazi party to have too much control over the military. Ratzinger could not have been a member of the Nazi political party and a soldier in the Air Force or regular Army.

The following is an article from Times Online:

"Ratzinger has insisted he never took part in combat or fired a shot — adding that his gun was not even loaded — because of a badly infected finger. He was sent to Hungary, where he set up tank traps and saw Jews being herded to death camps. He deserted in April 1944 and spent a few weeks in a prisoner of war camp.

He has since said that although he was opposed to the Nazi regime, any open resistance would have been futile — comments echoed this weekend by his elder brother Georg, a retired priest ordained along with the cardinal in 1951.

“Resistance was truly impossible,” Georg Ratzinger said. “Before we were conscripted, one of our teachers said we should fight and become heroic Nazis and another told us not to worry as only one soldier in a thousand was killed. But neither of us ever used a rifle against the enemy.”
Some locals in Traunstein, like Elizabeth Lohner, 84, whose brother-in-law was sent to Dachau as a conscientious objector, dismiss such suggestions. “It was possible to resist, and those people set an example for others,” she said. “The Ratzingers were young and had made a different choice.”

The sexual cover-up that the new pope participated in was "uncovered" by 20-20 and there is an excellent article on the whole matter at ABCNews.com. There is even a picture! Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger became visibly upset with the ABC investigatior's questions and actually slapped the reporter's hand.

There is a lot of evidence and unanswered questions about Ratzinger's cover-up in this matter, and Ratzinger is doing a lot of back-peddling now and refuses to answer any questions.

NEW YORK, April 21, 2005 -- An investigation into the sexual abuse allegations against a high-ranking priest of the Roman Catholic Church has been reopened, seven years after the formal complaint was first filed with then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, according to people familiar with the case.
Ratzinger's office ordered the case against the Rev. Marcial Maciel reopened in December, around the time there was growing speculation Ratzinger was a leading candidate to be the next pope. In fact, a Vatican investigator began taking sworn statements from the alleged victims just two weeks ago in New York, the day Pope John Paul II died, according to sources close to the case. if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf("MSIE") != -1) { document.write("<div style=\"float:left;\">"); } else if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Mozilla") > -1) { document.write("<div>"); }
