Scripture taught this in Romans 11, see especially Romans 11:25-28
Not quite. What St. Paul is saying is that from Israel came salvation in Christ, and through Christ Israel, like the Gentiles, can obtain salvation in equal terms (see Galatians 3). And many did, with there being especially large numbers of ethnic Jews in the Antiochian Orthodox Church, Melkite Catholic Church, Syriac Orthodox Church, Syriac Catholic Church, Alexandrian Greek Orthodox Church, the Assyrian Church of the East, the Ancient Church of the East, and the Chaldean Catholic Church, and among the St. Thomas Christians of Malankara, India. And the Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox Churches, and the Ethiopian Catholic Church, are almost entirely of Jewish descent, being closely related to the Beta Israel, the Ethiopic Jews, in nearly every way.
No one is saved except through Christ, however.
