Yes, let's talk about monuments...

On June 26, 2020, in the wake of the BLM protests, Donald signed Executive Order 13933, "Protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues and Combating Recent Criminal Violence."

This EO ordered the DOJ to seek the maximum penalty for any such assault or vandalism against a public or government monument -- up to 10 years.

"My Administration will not allow violent mobs incited by a radical fringe to become the arbiters of the aspects of our history that can be celebrated in public spaces. State and local public officials' abdication of their law enforcement responsibilities in deference to this violent assault must end."

Strong words, eh?

Fast forward to January 6, 2021 -- the United States Capitol Building, one of the largest monuments of our government (a monument to Murphy's Law, perhaps, but a monument nonetheless) is attacked by the epitome of "violent mobs incited by a radical fringe."

His administration's response? A mixture of utter silence and tacit approval.

Just in case anyone had forgotten why BLM was so upset in the first place...
