CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was actually still a Christian when I first saw the ghostbuster picture. So uncomfortable emotions are still attached to that image, and it's a little hard to look at it, even to this day.
Funny though, because I laugh at much worse things said and drawn about religion, but since I've seen it after becoming an atheist, it doesn't really bother me.

Whatever, I was never a true Christian... blah blah blah.
But yeah, I grew up to respect Jesus Christ. So it's still hard from time to time, to see something offensive about Christ. Despite this, I try not to censor myself when it comes to my art, and some of the things I draw and write are tame compared to that pic.
It's getting easier, but there still is an awkward angle to it.

It's not possible. I don't believe in God, and I don't like the idea of God. Even if he did exist I'd never submit to him.
Even as a Christian I thought it was awkward to actually worship him. There were just certain aspects of Christianity I liked.

Uh yeah, as a Christian I confessed Jesus is lord.
I never heard of the "sinners prayer" growing up.
