The Masterpiece
There he stood; staring into endless space.
He pondered; letting his eyes close at a slow pace.
It was then, when visions of color and form filled his soul,
And seeing such beauty and wisdom, it caused his love to flow.
Quickly; he reached for his canvas and tacked it down with care.
He gathered his finest brushes and placed them on his chair.
He supplied himself with the best of paints, tools and other needs,
For the visions that appeared to him, needed to be set free.
With loving care he applied each stroke,
Capturing the essense of his thoughts.
And throughout his work, there was wisdom and knowledge,
With hidden mysteries to be sought.
With a steadfast love and a will of his own,
He worked every day and night.
For the task at hand will create such splendor,
Only to reveal, a glorious sight.
He displayed his work to be seen and enjoyed,
And for hearts to be filled with pleasure.
But not all would accept what their eyes have seen,
And would like to destroy what he treasured.
They came late that night in a deceiving way,
To deface and mar his creation.
And when morning broke, the light revealed,
A scene of great devastation.
When the painter saw what they had done; he wept,
And his heart was grieving for days.
But there was another, who was like unto him,
Who knew and understood his ways.
It was his son, who came to restore,
And to put life back to his painting.
But this amazing task would be a painful one,
After viewing the damage; it was heart breaking.
It wasn't long, before the painting was displayed,
That the son revealed this honor, to his father.
And its' radiant splendor could only be seen,
For the damage that was there, showed no further.
Now imagine the painter, was God the Creator,
And those who destroyed, were Satan and his followers.
And Jesus, was the painter's son, who came to restore,
All the damage caused by sin, through the pain He bore.

Did you get the picture? God created all of this for us, then satan ruin things. Jesus came to restore the damage for sin was present, and in His glory we can be forgiven through His precious blood. I hope you enjoyed it.
