Today, we see that many people create their own identities. I read a interview today of a celebrity who is pregnant criticizing gender reveals parties, that it is homophobic, and that it is her child once it's born, will chose it's own gender and identity.

Since it is God who created us, it is Him who gave us our identity. Let's read what the Creator has to say

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

God gave us an identity, we are His image bearers. What that means God created us such as we reflect His glory and goodness back to Him, like a mirror reflects our image back to us. But we sinned and sin corrupted this image, it shattered it to pieces. Still, we are an image of God, but a broken one. That's why He sent His Son, to restore us into the image God made.

Our true identity is therefore an image of God. All other identities are false.

And God created two genders, therefore there are only two genders, no matter what anyone says. And it is God who choses the gender, not us. He creates us in whatever gender He choses. We cannot change our gender. We can call ourselves whatever we want, it will never change the reality.

If you are confused today about who you are, the answer is in the Word of God. You were created as a beautiful image of a loving God. God who has no sin in Him, God who choses to be merciful, God who never lies, God who restores what is destroyed. God who despite our constant evil, looks at us in His love and desires no one to die. In His love He sent His only Son to suffer and die on the cross, raised on the third day, that whosoever believes in Him, will not die in sin, but have an everlasting life. Come to Lord Jesus today, and He will restore what the sin has broken.

Couldn't the response simply be that someone's god-given gender is different to their physical appearance at birth?

Much like intersex people can have quite ambiguous and even contradictory physical and genetic sexual characteristics?

(I'm stating an interpretation, and not endorsing a pro LGBT position as I know that's against site rules).

For evolution to progress it must go in and out of altered states become confused. But our God made an orderly world and this kind of sin destroyed that order throughout time. Yes, this is exactly why I posted this under creation & evolution. Many people are confused by their identities and they don't know who they are. They need to know they true identity that their Maker gave them.

Some argue this does not belong here, and it should be under Christian only subforum, but I wanted all to see the truth, in hope it leads someone to Christ. And yes, many don't believe this, but people need to hear truth about God, while there still is time. We need to tell people God created them and not compromise on this.

My OP was not an attack on transgender people. We are all sinners, and we all need a Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ, transgender and non-transgender. No one has any advantage, we all need God's mercy. I desire all come to God and be saved, this includes transgender.

I think this is the 'what use is half an eye?' argument - i.e. how can morphological intermediates exist - but expressed in a confused manner.

Yes, but it is God who choses our gender, not us. If we identify as something else, then we rebel against God.

Rebellion is the reason why there is evil in this world, death, pain, suffering....God created the world without these things, all was good. But we sinned and we suffer the consequences.

Judgment for our sin is eternal hell. But God desires all to come to Him and repent. And whoever believes on crucified and ressurected Lord Jesus Christ will go to Heaven where there is no evil, no death, no pain, no suffering, the way God intended to be.

Come to the Saviour today, while the period of grace is here.

Nope. I can't help but see this as reading something into a sentence that just isn't there to justify a prejudice. I realize that this is probably taught in a lot of churches, but it's empty.

The scripture was there before any prejudices, we are not justifying a prejudice but justifying God. If you are a skeptic your blind to what God has to teach and you are scattering the fold rather than gathering it. It does make a difference if you are the gender God made you to be, if not it’s counterfeit leading straight people into homosexuality and pretending. If that’s all right…. You know…. There is away that seems right to a man but the end there of is death. Gods way is life eternal but the way you are choosing is the way of death. You should be glad he showed you the opposing viewpoint and points to Christ and life not short term pleasure. But you have to get it. It’s not conservative or straight it’s the way to the father, the garden. Don’t believe hippies they started all the corruption. Let God be true and everyone one else a liar. There is a whole lot more behind it.
