Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Exactly. Seems to me like anyone not wanting to take personal accountability for their actions/sins (that's YOU GutenbergPrintPress1454) is the liberal-minded one.

That's the strangest statement I've ever seen.

Men are men, due to original sin men have tendency to sin against purity.
You can't totally blame a man* (especially young man) if a woman dresses too immodestly in front of him.

*If the man sins, he would be responsible for the sin, but the woman would be responsible, too.

Modern females have the tendency to take sexy dress as a magic formula for getting their dream husbands. But I think it is plain stupidity.

I believe marriage is a gift from God and we don't need to worry too much about it. But modern females ignore this fact and think differently. The consequences are deplorable.

1) Dressing immodestly reduces men's respect for women. Many women today dress like prostitutes, but no man would have respect for prostitutes.

2) Dressing immodestly helps to create an immoral social environment. It becomes a temptation for men to become immoral. Therefore dressing immodestly can lead a female to deserve divine punishment.

3) When a female dresses immodestly, she becomes a bad example for other females. So when she got married, other females will in turn present themselves as bad temptations for her husband. Immodest dress might help you to get a dream husband, but it also might help creating an immoral environment which becomes a.great temptation for your husband.
(No wonder the more immodest they dress, the higher is the divorce rate)

4) If a man loves a woman only because she dresses immodestly, then what happens when she gets old ?

When a female dresses in a way that she presents a strong temptation or she loses men's
respect, she is going over the moral limit.
Where there is no respect, there is NO love. Dressing immodestly kills respect.
A little bit of sexy is ok, but females today don't know the limit.

My wife dressed immodestly when we met. She was operating under the philosophy of 'if you got it, flaunt it and honey, I got it'.

I asked her to dress modestly. She didn't want to be attracting the attention of other men and I wanted to be drawn to her for her nature, not her looks as we entered into a courtship. She agreed.

It turned out she had previously greatly influence by her roommate who turned out to be a high priestess of Ashtoreth. That girl was all about controlling men through sexuality.

Modesty is in the eyes of the beholder. But men will go on being men and women will be women. AND women will always use their sex appeal to catch the gaze of men, no matter how slight that may be.

I partially agree. For example I was stationed in Greece for over a year. The Greek women were highly moral but had no problem with being topless on a beach. That isn't considered immodest, just natural. It is our western traditions of man that says a women exposing her breasts is somehow evil.

It's hard to know what counts as immoral in clothing - different strokes for different folks and all that. Some may freak at a skirt above the knee, others wouldn't blink at it. Honestly I rarely see real "immoral" clothing around.
