CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Little sis was stuck at in her room doing her homework when mum called me. Sounds like you were much luckier. I have some, but I'm not going to do it until tommorow cause i only have two classes then.

I found something i like about college that is going to make the homework worth it. The food is great. And they have indoor swimming pools. I guess that's two somethings actually but oh well.

Anyway, yeah. For the week when Tae_Kwon_Do_07 and I stayed over at the University for Band Camp, we got to eat dorm food, which was pretty incredible. Now, I know that this just demonstrates how sheltered a life I live, but I was amazed by the patty melts, which I'd previously been unexposed to.

Bread. It's a burger on Toasted bread, I believe. I don't know, I haven't had a patty melt since, but that was definitely one of the things that made my week at Band Camp. That and the soft-serve ice cream.

Ah, it's okay. Obesity (or even extreme skininess, for that matter) isn't the worst problem on campus. At the place my brother and sister stay, they occassionally have a guy show up at the door asking for shelter and money. Now, they've given him shelter and money before, but he always comes back. He probably just uses the money to buy cigarettes or illegal drugs.

Not necesarily. there's this guy in jeff city that is sometimes there at this leather shop that one of dad's friends has. he's a veteran and spends all his money on his prescriptions and he's on oxygen. he's homeless and goes there just to drink coffee and talk to people.

ya know it's kinda boring not knowing anyone in this dorm that's not doing sorority junk. i left my door open hoping someone would talk to me but everyone just looks in like I'm stupid. it's getting very tiresome.

Ali doesn't care. My roommate goes on about it when she runs out of other things to talk about. she likes to talk alot. and watch MTV. I'm not to happy about the whole MTV thing.
